Orthodoxy and orthopraxis seem to complement each other. Orthodoxy is viewed as theoretical ideas of the scriptures and orthopraxis the admirable actions performed by Christians, the application of the philosophy learned into real life. In other words Orthodoxy could be defined as the right belief and orthopraxis as the right action, worshipping elegantly must be coupled with good works.

Both orthodoxy and orthopraxis are important and one become meaningless without the other, orthodoxy without orthopraxis would lose its brightness and orthopraxis without orthodoxy would simply become a tradition of passion and emotion where the doctrine would be depended and limited by subjective experiences. Orthodoxy in a way would generally activate orthopraxis, for instance one who has been spiritually educated and has a personal relationship with God would know that the next step would be to apply the doctrines learned into real life by become a servant of others. As a center of distribution for God’s Kingdom one must share the fruits of the spirit with others which are love, happiness, tenderness, patience, meekness, faithfulness etc… (Galatians 5:23, KJV).

Orthodoxy and orthopraxis are essential to all Jesus’ followers. Electing one and disregarding the other would be a huge mistake “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26, KJV). James also accentuated in verse 14-17 that followers of Christ must help others, it is the duty of the Christian not a choice. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just theory.
