Shrisma (aka Queen Royalty) was born under the city lights of Jacksonville, FL., but raised between Florida, Alabama and Georgia.“I knew I wanted to be a singer when I was about the age 12, when all I would do is try to mimic every voice I heard on the radio! She states. Queen went on to bear a son and soon came to own her own Gospel School of Dance called One Way Gospel School of Dance.
Queen has performed in a variety of venues from political campaigns to theatrical productions. She was pleased to receive label recognition from Jive Records in 2000 for contributing her voice for Blues Artist-Marvin Cease, and that made her want to chase after her vision even more. She also started performing with various groups, starting 1999.
She has also exhibited her vocal skills as a duet partner, featured vocalist and background singer for numerous artists. Queen Royalty credits her gifts and talents to the most High God. In 2001, she gave birth to her second child.
In addition to her talent on stage, she enjoys songwriting, fashion designing, poetry, acting and flag design. She created and designed the first Civil Rights Flag in the world entitled "From Rosa to Obama" in 2008. The flag is now archived and on display in the Troy University Rosa Parks Museum, located in Montgomery, AL.
She identifies themes, composes lyrics and develops the melody for all of her work. She is also exceptional in the area of musical preparation and arrangements. “What I really love about my music is being able to reach into the souls of my listeners and capture them in a meaningful parallel of my feelings and my life experiences.”
She is an experienced fashion stylist and fashion designer as well. Queen has been designing fashions for 9 years & Fashion Styling for over 20 years-with offers to teach overseas in Japan in Jan. 2009. Her style and appearance is a plus to her on-stage audience appeal.
Then, she decided to pursue her career in the entertainment world of Music/Acting and Fashion Design, so she decided to relocate to Atlanta, Ga. in March of 2009.
“My real passion is rap. Rap is a way for me to convey my feelings and thoughts to the world. Rapping, singing and songwriting is a natural extension of my being. Music is who I am as well as what I do.” Queen Royalty has also been tagged as a Music Panelist for Stop the Violence Campaigns, Youth Rallies, and Political Fund-raisers. She has also been featured as a political rapper on a Tallahassee, FL. news broadcast representing the Rap the Vote Campaign in 2006.
She is currently recording her debut album which embodies all of her own original material entitled ”Forever Blessed”, which features a fiery, urban mixture of Hip-Hop served up with a mixture of music and genre variety.
