In recent years three women have ascended to become some of Cleveland’s most acclaimed and respected rap artists. Those three women have joined forces to create the group known as Trinity Gold.
Mz. Crazy Tee, Neshia Nee and Nessacary are the tremendous threesome that is set to take rap music by storm. The trio is made up of young but seasoned performers that are energetic, entertaining and electrifying.
Mz. Crazy Tee is a winner of seven Rebel Army Radio Awards, Cleveland’s top hip-hop honor. At the 2011 Rebel Army Radio Awards she was named Best Female MC. Her song “Bi-Polar” was the first song by a female artist to be named Best Song by the institution. The song also won awards for Best Female Record and Best R&B/Rap Collab. Her fifth award of the night was an honor shared with her Trinity Gold comrades. Prior to becoming an official group Mz. Crazy Tee, Neshia Nee and Nessacary re-worked “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne to win the Best Female Collab award. In 2010 Mz. Crazy Tee won the Artist’s MC Award, a category chosen by a select group of MCs from Cleveland. Her first Rebel Army Radio Award came in 2009 when her local hit “Nerd Glasses” was selected as the Jam of the Year.
The nation got its first taste of Mz. Crazy Tee in 2010, when she was featured in the print edition of Murderdog (Vol. 16, Issue #3) alongside famed artists such as Killer Mike, Tech N9NE, Kid Cudi, Trick Daddy, Cash Money Records CEO Baby, Insane Clown Posse and Wiz Khalifa. Locally Mz. Crazy Tee has been featured on the cover of CP2 Magazine for her appearance in the rap documentary, “RapLand 216” (2010) which debuted at Shaker Square Cinema in Cleveland.
In spring 2011, Mz. Crazy Tee debuted as a video jock on Ohio’s music video network RTv. The artist co-created and hosted “The Hype” which featured music videos from various performers around the state. The college educated young lady released her debut mix-CD entitled “The Package” (2010). She headlined Cleveland’s longest running all female rap showcase, the 2011 Queens of the Iron Mic and opened for Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, Crime Mob, Trina, Waka Flocka Flame and Three 6 Mafia.
Neshia Nee has won six Rebel Army Radio Awards, including the Best Female Street MC honor in 2011 along with the Best Female Collab award. In 2010 she won her first Best Female Collab trophy with Nessacary for the song “I’m Fresh, I’m Bad.” As a member of the Cleveland based rap collective Ladies of the Land (L.O.L.) Neshia Nee won Best Group and Best Crew awards in 2010 and 2009 respectively. Known for her sex appeal Neshia Nee won an award for Best Mixed Collab with cohort Mookie Mo’Tonio for the song “Eat, Eat, Eat” in 2009. The previous year she teamed with Mookie Mo’Tonio to win the Best Collab award for their song “Don’t Call My Phone.”
Murder Dog Magazine featured Neshia Nee in its online magazine in both 2010 and 2009. In 2010 she made Murder Dog (Vol. 17, Issue #2) with multiple artists from Cleveland’s south side better known as the “Soufside” alongside established rappers such as Juvenile, Big Boi of Outkast, The Game, Bow Wow, Slum Village and Bizarre of D-12. In 2009 (Vol. 16, Issue #2) she was featured with Mookie Mo’Tonio in the same issue as major artists DJ Quik, Kurupt, Ace Hood and Wale.
In 2010 Neshia Nee became the first female to host the Rebel Army Radio Awards. She also had a featured role in “Rapland 216.” In the same year she released two internet mixtapes on Datpiff.com. The second entitled “Top & Bottom” was a local underground favorite as it received over 1,000 downloads with limited promotion. Her first physical CD was entitled “Worth the Wait” and she has had the opportunity to open for Trina.
The last, but definitely not least, member of the trio is Nessacary. She has won a record total of 12 Rebel Army Radio Awards. Twice being named the Best Female MC (2010, 2008), Nessacary has also won Best Female Artist (2011, 2010), Best Collab (2011, 2010), Best Mixed Collab (2011, 2010), the Chart Topper Award (for most charted songs in one year by a female artist 2010, 2009) as well as the aforementioned Best Female Collab awards (2011, 2010).
In 2010 Nessacary was signed to IME Music Group which is co-owned by Darryl McDaniel better known as DMC of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted group Run-DMC. She was the only female in a nine member rap collective known as New Alumni. At the start of 2011 the label released two music videos that she performed in. The first was “Panic Room” with New Alumni and the second was “Electric” with New Alumni member Prez.
Her music video “Money to Blow” (2010) was a collaboration with her brother Bugatti Butch that was featured on World Star Hip-Hop. “Money to Blow” was one of Cleveland’s most watched music videos of the year as it amassed over 25,000 views. Also known as Nessa Nubbs, the talented rapper has released five mixtapes. She dropped two in 2011 entitled “Nessacary Roughness” and “Nessacary Precautions.” In 2009 her project known as “Fly Regardless” was reviewed in Murder Dog Magazine (Vol. 16, Issue #3) and received a four out of five rating.
Nessacary’s other previous mixtapes are “Crown Me” (2008) and “Everything is Nesscary” (2007).
Just like her groupmates, Nessacary was featured in “Rapland 216.” In 2011 she co-starred in the straight to DVD release “When Minds Collide” and is in this year’s sequel as well. Nessacary also served as a guest video host on RTv’s music video show “Ro Digga’s Everything Big.”
Once known as the Goddess of the Game, Nessacary received her first local feature in print in Cleveland’s CP2 Magazine (2007). Since then she has been interviewed in various Cleveland based publications such as Intro Magazine, Hustle Bunny and G3 Magazine.
Throughout the years Nessacary has been one of the most nominated artists at the Ohio Hip-Hop Awards. She has received eight nominations including Best Female Artist every year since 2008.
Nessacary has opened for a number of headliners including Trina, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Keyshia Cole, Crime Mob, Young Jeezy, D4L, Usher and Lil Scrappy.
Mz. Crazy Tee, Neshia Nee and Nessacary make up three of Cleveland’s most celebrated female artists. Together they are Trinity Gold.
