LiveSosa strikes an artful balance between producer, songwriter and artist. The Fort Smith, AR native is just as comfortable and skillful behind the boards as he is with a pen or on the Mic. Growing up in a household that played r&b (R. Kelly, Tamia, Aaliyah, Anita Baker, Sade) as equally as rap (Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Biggie), the multi-talented phenom developed an expert ear for melodies, beats and lyrics. He carefully honed his voice to become an instrument of its own. A rapper and singer, LiveSosa hails from a place on the map that is known more for gang culture than music, yet he has emerged with his own brand of soulful street poetry and is on a mission to put his home state on his back.

As a kid LiveSosa would sing along to a diverse collection of tunes his parents and grandparents played, earning him a profound respect and openness for all genres of music, including gospel. After his mom invested in a stereo system that came equipped with a karaoke and beat maker, the ambitious youngster became immersed in all things sound. During his middle school years, LiveSosa received a shock to his sonic system. He was introduced to the likes of John Mayer and CREED, breeding a new passion and vision for his artistry. As a result, he became more intriguingly experimental and progressive as both a beatmaker and an all- encompassing entertainer. Aptly adopting the moniker LiveSosa at 18, with “Live” describing his jovial personality and “Sosa” stemming from baseball legend Sammy Sosa’s ability to make hits on the field and his making hits in the studio, the lyricist/singer was born.

LiveSosa has consistently evolved over the years indicating that grinding doesn’t trouble him in the least. He was at the forefront of the Internet revolution where he monetized from making and selling beats early. As a direct result of his digital fame he became, and still is, the go-to writer for emerging artists in need of hooks. LiveSosa released and marketed a pair of critically hailed mixtapes, Red Oxygen (2014) and Colors That Don’t Exist (2016), which helped to set the tone and build anticipation for everything he does. His combined YouTube viewership for material he has created or been a part of exceeds 3.2 million. In his early days as an entrepreneurial-minded creative using the web to profit from his talent, the businessman collaborated with Atlanta rap duo the YoungBloodz, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Glasses Malone and Kevin Gates on a record called “Faded.” His ambition to succeed is unparalleled.

Currently signed to Electric Rebel Music, LiveSosa’s latest single is titled “Drip Music,” which personifies the symbiotic relationship between chill and trap music. The track is a testament to the refreshing power of undeniably clever songwriting coupled with a synth-pop beat, the perfect formula for his self-described “sauce” music. His ability to effortlessly transition from parlayed r&b to rowdy rap is what separates him from the industry status quo. His lyrics are easily digestible yet contain messages that feed the heart, mind and soul, his creative sweet spot.

As “Drip Music” continues to gain momentum on radio, LiveSosa is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon earning the nickname “Hollywood Star.” He’s even
prophesying his own fate by titling his upcoming EP Hollywood Nova. The project appeals to discerning listeners who enjoy a heavy dose of bass and energetic party vibes with their bars. While he prefers to keep features and production to a minimum, instead commissioning emerging talent, LiveSosa did choose to recruit Grammy-nominated hitmaker Drumma Boy for the album.
