K’Shon’s romantic new single “Promise” (Eeny Meeny Miny Moe) is the perfect choice for fans of more uptempo love songs

ATLANTA, GA – Romantic music comes in many different forms, but there’s more to romance than just slow jams. Serious enthusiasts who are driven to “pick the very best one” for their own romantic playlists should check out K’Shon’s energetic new single, “Promise.” The song came to life as K’Shon worked alone in a recording studio in Smyrna, GA. What started out as a playful chant over a chorus developed into something hotter than anything else he was working on.

The song expresses the singer’s affection for one particularly special girl. Even though he could choose any other girl, all he really wants is her. The romantic sentiment continues with the lyrics: “I promise to treat you better than any other guy. I won’t break your heart.” The single was released on March 6th.

Kaleb Shanndon Gary (known by his stage name K’Shon) writes all of his own music which is a mix of R&B, Pop and a dash of Trap. He composes lyrics and makes beats to use for his own songs and to sell to others. Although he occasionally works with beats from his friends, K’Shon created the beat for “Promise” himself. What beats he chooses to work with depends on his inspiration. “If I hear a beat from my friends and I can hear myself on it,” said K’Shon, “then I’ll go with it.”

K’Shon is a deep thinking philosopher who seeks to increase his knowledge in many areas. While others are content to simply listen to music, K’Shon studies music. His own music features a blend of top hits which he has interpreted in his own unique way. By using big hits, K’Shon brings that “Number 1 Hit” feeling into all of his music. One of his finished songs is a take on “Remember the Time” by Michael Jackson, but sounds like a completely new piece. That track, along with several other singles, will be released throughout the year and eventually become part of his debut album. “I make hits!” K’Shon said. “Everybody who listens basically loves my music. They believe in me. I believe in my music, too.”

Growing up in Lawrence, South Carolina, K’Shon’s biggest musical influences were Charlie Wilson, Chris Brown and Usher. But he learned everything about making his own music from his dad around a decade ago. His father did everything in his studio in South Carolina and he taught K’Shon about engineering and how to make beats. Around two years ago, K’Shon moved to Atlanta where he is based now.

African music especially from Ethiopia conveys an energy you can feel. The 24 year old credits his Ethiopian heritage with the energy and passion that radiates from his music. You can feel K’Shon’s presence and his deep love and appreciation for the music. “That’s what I give off in my music too, that high energy,” K’Shon said. “We make you move and bop! You got to, you know?!”

New single ‘Sorry’ puts artist Sam Least on the map

ATLANTA, GA – West Palm Beach native Sam Least is a lifelong student of contemporary Rhythm and Blues, taking cues from greats such as Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake to create a sleek, modern sound that is one-of-a-kind. Musically, Sam Least is described as the perfect blend of past and present, beat and groove, soul and rock. His style breaks genre molds and splices different sounds into something fresh and new.

This is perhaps best displayed on his new single “Sorry,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. The R&B/Trap fusion is a bit of an anthem, so-to-speak, for all the guys out there. Sam said it’ll be the perfect song for gentlemen wanting to connect with their ladies over Valentine’s Day.

Sam’s path to full-time musician started early when as a boy he fell in love with playing the drums. As a child, he used any household utensil he could get his hand on to drum with, and he would drum on anything that would produce a sound. He began to study some of the best drummers of all time and to this day he’s a big fan of legends like Travis Barkley, Buddy Rich and Taylor Hawkins from Foo Fighters. He’s also been a fan of Jazz for as long as he can remember and has always been impressed by how Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake have combined Pop, Jazz, Rock and Hip Hop in ways that connect with fans from all walks of life all over the world.

“I want to emulate that kind of career,” he said. “I want to be known as an artist who can do a little bit of everything. I want to be known for quality, good music. When people hear my music, they will know it’s quality and good … not just a vibe. It’s timeless. Five years from now you can put on one of my records and it’ll still feel like it just came out yesterday. No matter what timeframe you’re in, it fits that time – in fact, it’s maybe even ahead of its time.”

Another single recently released by Sam is a song called “Postmaster.” Underscored by cool, atmospheric tones and pounding 80s, “Postmaster” creates a perfect ambient vibe. Sam’s unique approach to Trap-driven Hip Hop also carries an almost overwhelming amount of melody which makes it easy for listeners to kick back into the sound and enjoy the lyrics.

“As a musician, sometimes lyrics or words just come to mind as soon as you hear the right track,” Sam said. “That’s the way it was with this song. Me and a couple buddies were recording and I heard the track immediately and just started mumbling stuff before I even knew what I was doing. From there, it caught life and it has become something I’m really proud of. It’s a bit of a sexual song, if you will, about a gentleman speaking to young ladies. Basically, he’s telling them to bring their friends and he’ll bring his and together they’ll have a great time.”

As “Postmaster” is gaining traction and an increasing number of fans around the U.S. is starting to find Sam’s music. After “Sorry” drops in time for Valentine’s Day, Sam will prepare to drop a party song called “Time,” slated for release this spring. With a more upbeat tone, this song will encourage listeners to have a good time – something that Sam said will be perfect for the months when the temperatures start to get warmer and people want to head outside and enjoy the later nights.

Fresh Afrobeats artist Abblaze sets international dance scene on fire with new EP “Rhythms & Heartbreaks”

NEWARK, NJ – He may be new to the American music scene, but Abideen Omisola (known by his professional name, Abblaze) was born to be in the music game. Born in the US, Abblaze first got into music a long time ago while growing up in Nigeria. Harnessing the best of many worlds, Abblaze’s versatility stems from his background of moving around and living in different countries.

Those diverse influences are reflected in Abblaze’s new EP, “Rhythms & Heartbreaks.” His unique Afrobeats music is an uptempo, groovy mix with percussion-heavy rhythm and American lifestyle influences. Recorded in New Jersey and New York, the 9 track collection was released on January 27th and features heartbreak music, love songs, and music about situations the artist has encountered. The first two singles from the EP are “High Life,” a track about a love for smoking marijuana and for anyone trying to attain the best for their lives; and “Number One,” which praises the woman of his dreams who has taken over his heart.

Although a music veteran, Abblaze only began recording his work about a year ago. His previous EP, “Best of Both Worlds,” came out while he was still young in the game and perfecting his craft. In a short time, the artist has matured and grown and the new EP has a more grooved and refined sound while maintaining Abblaze’s signature Afrobeats style and messaging.

Growing up in Nigeria, Abblaze fell in love with music when he learned to play the recorder in middle school. To date, the artist considers his best beats to be the ones with recorder and flute music in the background. He also first began taking his writing seriously in Nigerian, winning multiple awards for his work. Ever since he figured out how to apply his essay writing talents to writing his own music, Abblaze has been burning up the dance scene.

Abblaze developed his core base in Nigeria and being raised there not only influenced his sound but his attitude towards music. Although Nigeria is considered an unstable country, Abblaze said “When you go there, you wouldn’t know that when the music is playing, everybody’s into the music and entertainment. You think ‘Is this a country where people are not living well? The standard of living is kinda low compared to the developing world.’ They don’t act like it! People are partying and having fun! I think that is reflected in my music.” When Abblaze finds himself going through trying times, his music is like therapy for him.

Since he was young, his taste in music has been all over the place. He listens to everything – from Classical to Dancehall, Afrobeats and Pop, and grew up listening to artists such as Westlife, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Elvis, Snoop Dogg, Vice Cartel, WizKid, Jay-Z and Ed Sheeran. “It doesn’t matter what it is,” Abblaze said. “It’s music – it just depends on how you connect yourself to the music.”

Abblaze has big plans for 2020. He has already shot footage for two new music videos. A video for “Number One” will be released first, possibly on Valentine’s Day, followed be the second single, “High Life.” He also will likely shoot a video for a third song, “No Lie” in April or May.

Right now, Abblaze is firing up his base in the New York / New Jersey area. Very soon, listeners all over America will be grooving to his distinct Afrobeat rhythms. With his international background and appeal, Abblaze’s music is destined to set the entire world aflame. Music is a universal language and Abblaze is ready for everyone to hear what his music has to say.

New Sensation, Zalarella offers a rebel vibe with her new single ‘Run For Your Money’

BROOKLYN, NY – Nearly everyone is familiar with the story of Cinderella – the young girl who is abused by her evil stepmother, adopted by a fairy godmother, granted a magical evening during which she falls in love with a prince, and ultimately finds her “happily ever after.” It’s a beautiful tale of an underdog whose rags-to-riches journey serves as a metaphor for attaining success and fulfilling your dreams.

That’s exactly the kind of story this Brooklyn native is telling. This R&B artist is one of the fastest-rising talents on the East Coast, and she’s fully embracing the Cinderella metaphor by adopting the stage name Zalarella. And like Cinderella, she had given up on her dreams for a while but found a renewed hope for the future when her new single “Run For Your Money” began to receive a lot of attention from new audiences.

“I’ve been through many mishaps and struggles and because of that, I feel like I’m the urban version of Cinderella,” she said. “I’ve gone through a lot of growing pains throughout the years”.

Her first single, ‘Run For Your Money’ is a song that touches on feeling emotional emptiness in a relationship after longing for it for so long. It’s a dark, compelling and edgy R&B type of feel that talks about no longer wasting your time on a guy that doesn’t value you. I’m encouraging others not to wait around for a call or for the love and affection of a man that doesn’t see your worth. Don’t feel sorry for yourself and wait for something that doesn’t exist.”

Endless obstacles and lack of support took its toll on her throughout the years – so much that she felt compelled to walk away from music completely for a long period of time. As fate would have it, her true calling came back to surface.

“It took a lot of soul-searching and evolving before I could come back to music,” she said. “But eventually, I realized I couldn’t make everyone happy. I don’t want to limit myself because of what others think are my limits.

She concludes, “I’ve been through a lot in my life and that gives me inspiration to share my life lessons. That alone gives me a unique voice that can connect with others. I’m marching to my own beat – that’s what’s in my heart. I can inspire others to do the same.”

Thrilling new sound from East Coast artist Moe$set to make a splash in the New Year

AVENEL, NJ – Most people would tell you that to make it big in the music industry takes a one-in-a-million lightning strike of luck. East Coast artist Moe$ knows that, but he also knows that the lightning won’t strike unless you’re willing to put in hours and hours of hard work and effort. He knows that hard work has to be paired with unique talent and an original sound. And he knows that he has to open himself to the world in uncomfortable ways so that as many people as possible can get a taste of the music he has to share.

All of those things are at play for this budding young artist which means he’s a name you should pay attention to as he’s primed for big things in 2020. That soon-to-be wave of success is set to begin in January when he drops his new eight-song EP. The first single from that project is already available across all streaming platforms and is already creating some buzz for this hot new artist.

The song is called “Hold It Down.” It showcases more of a pop-forward vibe underneath lyrics that describe the scenario that often happens when a guy meets a girl for the first time. But this “out-of-town” woman isn’t like most other women in that she can “hold it down” in conversation and keep up with the guy with her witticisms and charisma.

“It has a catchy melody that people can vibe to and the beat is really dope,” Moe$ said. “My voice sounds different than anything out there. The more people listen to my music the more they’ll know that it’s legit and they’ll want to bounce with it. More than anything, that’s what I want – for people to just vibe to the music. I want people to remember me as a person who worked his butt off and didn’t have a lot to work with but somehow made it to the top. I know a lot of people don’t make it out here and if you’re going to do it, you have to put 100 percent into it. You have to respect the craft and be willing to revise and edit and be dedicated to the process. That’s what I want to be remembered for – a true artist who worked the process and made great music.”

Moe$’s journey in music started at a young age when at age 7 he moved with his family from Egypt to America. He had to learn English and often turned to music as a way to understand the language better. One of the first musicians he remembers paying attention to was Eminem. Moe$ said he loved the way Eminem rhymed and the way his flows sounded. By age 10, he was writing his own raps as he continued to try to understand the English language more deeply. Over the next 10 years, he poured himself into learning how to write – from hooks and bars to metaphors and similes. He studied the early artists of Hip Hop and dove into battle Rap. And eventually at age 23, he stepped up on the mic and left such an impression that Rap fans all over New Jersey were clamoring for more.

“I’ve been on the mic ever since and I’m not looking back,” he said. “Nothing is more important to me than creating a lasting legacy through words and unique style. My emotions and experiences and driven lyrics are a statement for all. This new project is the best material I’ve ever had, and I’m ready to get people’s attention with it.”

The world has been waiting for a new artist like Em

NEW JERSEY – Every once in a while a new artist comes out of nowhere with music so profound that it takes the world by storm and serves as a testament for a generation. In the early 2000s, it was Norah Jones and her jazz classic “Come Away with Me.” In 2007, it was Adele and her breakthrough song “Hometown Glory.” And today, there’s an artist coming out of New Jersey whose new single “Say What You Mean” is set to make a similar impact on the world of music.

Her name is Em, and her masterful blend of soul and pop plays perfectly with her powerful yet ethereal voice in ways that will have people talking for years to come. There’s a depth of emotion that runs through her music and which is carried through every note. To label her sound as Soul is equal parts limiting and also perfectly accurate, as every ounce of her soul is put on display with her lyrics and the way she passionately pours out her heart through her vocals.

“I consider my music very spiritual and soulful,” Em said. “I want to give people peace and comfort, strength and belief in themselves. I want my music to help them push through difficult times and know there’s a lesson to be learned at the end of it. My music is love and care from the heart, and I want people to see that and live genuine to who they are. Be authentic and don’t be afraid. I’ve had to learn to speak up and not be afraid of who I am, and I want to pass that along to others.”

Some of the inspiration for that movement came from a 1947 movie called “Smash-Up, The Story of a Woman.” Em has always been an old soul at heart and has long harbored a secret love for all things from the 1950s and 60s. She said there’s something about the traditional “old fashioned woman” who demanded respect alongside the liberation and carefree rebellion of the 1960s.

“I learned they don’t have to clash but they can blend by defining certain boundaries, which is found in this song,” she said.

So when she was looking through public domain material for something to spark inspiration on her new single, she found “Smash-Up” and was immediately struck with how profound its message was both back when it was created and in today’s current cultural climate.

The film stars Susan Hayward as a nightclub singer who puts aside her successful career to marry a struggling songwriter. Inspired by the birth of their daughter, her husband plays one of his ballads on a morning radio show and his career explodes. As a stay-at-home wife and mother, Hayward’s character finds her shaky self-confidence slipping, and she turns to alcohol to mask the pain and regret of having given up on her dreams.

The story hit a very personal note for Em. As a young artist who has been steadily on the rise for the better part of a decade since she was discovered at age 12 by famed record producer Andy DiTaranto, Em recently found herself in a relationship that often made her consider what it would take to be committed to a partner while also being 100 percent committed to fulfilling her dreams of making it as a professional musician. Hayward’s character felt like she had failed at her job – she felt down on herself – and that’s exactly what Em feared for herself.

Out of that emotion, the foundation for one of the hottest new tracks to hit the music industry today came about. Em’s ethereal voice carries deep emotion underneath her new pop/soul ballad “Say What You Mean” in ways that are sure to captivate audiences all over the world.

“I missed the genuineness of the 50s because it had so much soul in it,” Em said. “I’m starting to sense more of that soul coming back in music today, and I’m glad because I really believe in that style of music. It is music with a purpose that has heart to it and has a genuine feeling running through it. With this song, I’m trying to tap into that soul. It might seem simple to the ear at first but it’s a message for women to be powerful in themselves. It’s a song that starts with a woman feeling depressed – as if a man has power over her. She feels empty and lost without him in her life, and the relationship has loose boundaries. She’s looking for a more monogamous thing, but he’s not. That’s similar to how I felt when I was in my last relationship. When I was with the person I was dating, we had a deep spiritual connection. So when it comes to the chorus of the song and I say, ‘Say what you mean, don’t you lead me on,’ that’s me taking back that power that I felt like he stripped from me. The rain effect in the bridge acts like a cleansing of the spirit and by the time you get to the end of the song, she’s on fire with strength. Ultimately, I wanted to take something that seems so downtrodden and find that inner courage to say ‘No!’ I have a higher vibration to share with the world because there’s so much lower vibration out there in the industry today with all of the negative messages. That’s not why we’re here on this earth. There’s purpose to living and being here every day, and it’s all about loving people around you and caring about others. It’s about giving, really truthfully giving to others and to yourself first.”

R&B music welcomes new king to the stage with singles from Touré

MIAMI, FL – When Ajani Touré Bryan Kingslow was born, his mother wanted to give him a name with meaning. Though his first name is of Nigerian origin, he himself is not Nigerian. But the name his mother chose for him is laden with meaning. Ajani means “he who fights for what is his,” and when paired with his middle name “Touré” which is French for “king,” his full name becomes a proclamation to the world that he is a king who will fight for what is his. It’s a powerful name and one that he hopes to live up to. He’s doing his best to do just that as he pursues his dream of becoming a professional musician and entertainer known all over the globe for his originality and inspiring message.

Though Touré has been involved with music for most of his life, it hasn’t been until recently that he has chosen to pursue music as a career. He started on the path while in middle school when he first picked up the saxophone. By high school, he had discovered a passion for DJ-ing and was soon the person called upon by all his friends to DJ parties. This continued through college and he got so into it that often he would sing along to the songs or emcee throughout as a kind of hype man. The audiences loved it, and many of them approached him about his sets to encourage him to make his own music. Eventually, he and one of his close friends Jaleel, a producer who goes by the name 5AMKush, decided to give it a go and moved down to Miami together. Jaleel purchased some equipment and soon the two of them were recording music and laying down lyrics.

Their most recent collaboration is a single called “Money Talks” which Touré has released across all streaming platforms. It’s an R&B song with a lighter, more “fun” tone to it. According to Touré, it’s a song about a girl who is a guy’s equal in every way.

“It is R&B, which is music that I’m really into, but this one in particular of all my songs is more bouncy,” he said. “I do a bit more rapping and the chorus is melodic. It’s mainly about meeting a girl, having a good time, and envisioning what life would be like with her. She’s a girl who has her own money and doesn’t need a guy for anything. They go out and see each other, and one time he picks up the tab and the next time she picks up the tab. It’s a balanced relationship – not all on one or the other. In the video, you see them living life together – shopping at the mall, around the house having a good time, that kind of stuff. It’s a fun song.”

Touré said he’s trying to create music that not only connects with today’s audiences in ways that nod to the modern sound of R&B, but also brings back the influence from old-school R&B.

“I feel like a lot of today’s R&B is disconnected from what that genre was originally meant to be,” he said. “There are a lot of people out there who are singing, but the substance is different. It’s not so much about women anymore as it is about hardships and life. I’m trying to bring back that love and that connection with women and specific interactions with the female fan base. I want people to be able to connect with my music. I started writing music by sharing some of my own experiences. Most of my music is telling a story of experiences with women or relationships – good times and bad times. I expand on some ideas and get inspiration from other places, but a lot of times what I’m talking about is close to home. No matter what though, I want people to connect. Everyone has dealt with a significant other in some way and my music is easily relatable when it comes to that. Everybody can relate to it.”

In addition to “Money Talks,” Touré will be dropping a second single called “I Wanna Be” before the end of the year. He also said he plans to drop a bigger project sometime in 2020.

Midwest artist Dejah’E blends genres to create “Hip-Pop” music with upcoming album “Mark My Words”

RACINE, WI – Dejah’E, a young R&B artist from Wisconsin, is hardly new to the music game. She has worked with Grammy award winning producer, Greg Lawson and one of Chris Brown’s producers, Steve Russel, and performed for Grammy award winning producers Hit-Boy and Johnny Wright. Bringing a classic 90s vibe with a modern twist, this fresh singer delivers a new mix of R&B and Pop which she refers to as “Hip-Pop.”

With a style characterized by sweet melodies and harmonies coupled with a catchy beat and expressive vocals, Dejah’E is finishing up her debut album, “Mark My Words.” A project two years in the making and recorded in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Milwaukee, the 17 song album is slated for release in early 2020 on all digital streaming channels. The project features music written by her and her producers Jaray James (of Mayweather’s “The Money Team”), Donye’a Goodin, Chris Milly, Waive Boy and StarChild Productions (recently nominated for two Grammys on Chris Brown’s latest project). “I love working with these guys,” Dejah’E said. “They’re all so talented and we vibe so well together. They each bring out a different side of me, which I think is dope because my fans are able to hear all the different sides to me, too.” Surrounded by so much Grammy star power, Dejah’E is destined to win a Grammy herself.

“Mark My Words” will provide fans with a varied mix of songs, including the Caribbean styled, richly harmonic track, “Apology.” The wildly catchy “Fallin Back” written by the artist two years ago, is perfect for cruising in the car. Another standout track, “That Button” will be released as a single soon, accompanied by a major production music video.

In 2017, Dejah’E recorded her first song, “Slow” as a solo artist and has always brought authenticity into her work. “I bring a realness that’s not really shown in the industry any more. I’m just completely myself, completely real and open,” Dejah’E said. Her debut single was well received and she has built on that success. Her new music reflects her growth as an artist – her vocals have grown stronger, she now uses custom, original beats from her producers, and her harmonies are more refined. Over ten years of piano playing has given Dejah’E the unique ability to sing chords off the top of her head, aiding the singer with her backgrounds and harmonies.

Growing up in Racine, a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Chicago, Dejah’E first discovered her love of music in church. At eight years old, she took up the violin, followed by piano which came to her naturally. From 14 into her late teens, Dejah’E performed as a member of different girl groups that she formed. Over the years, her musical influences included Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Jhene Aiko and Aaliyah and at 21, she launched her solo career with the release of her debut single, “Slow.”

Dejah’E owns an independent label called LA Rich Entertainment with her father and manager, Richard Warren, and this team shows no signs of slowing down. Filming for the “That Button” music video will be happening in a Milwaukee nightclub under the direction of Philly Fly Boy at the end of next month. Additionally, to follow the album release, Dejah’E plans to drop an EP by next summer.

TORONTO, CANADA – Anyone who has endured the pain of a tough breakup or difficult times will find Santyna’s music deeply relatable. While working to overcome major depression, generalized anxiety, PTSD and agoraphobia, Santyna wrote her new EP during the hardest time of her life. “When things got really bad for me emotionally,” she said, “it was my working on this EP that made everything feel better and made me feel like I could find happiness in this world.” Working on the EP facilitated her mental and spiritual growth and she wants to pass on that healing. During hard times, Santyna always found comfort listening to music by other artists, and she hopes that her music will do the same for her listeners.

Recorded in New York City and Toronto, her new EP, “VENIN” is slated to drop on November 27th. The 4-track collection has an R&B/Soul vibe with a little added Hip Hop flavor. Following on the successful release of her single, “FREE style,” the project shows the progression in the artist’s journey from bitter to better.

The new EP leads off with a track titled “hi.” The song was written while she was in a toxic relationship and it talks about the battle of staying in a relationship that doesn’t work for either person. To portray the conflict of being in love but arguing constantly, Santyna rewrote the song nearly twenty times to perfect her message.

Although she has spent much of her adult life in Toronto, Santyna was born and raised outside the city in Mississauga. With artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR and Roy Woods hailing from the West Side, Mississauga is starting to receive more recognition. Santyna’s song, “Massasauga” is a clever play on words. As the Massasauga rattlesnake is found in the area where she was born, it extends the snake symbolism seen in the EP’s cover artwork where Santyna is depicted as the Mother of Snakes. Written after the break up, “Massasauga” shows the emotional shift to feeling better off without a toxic partner as illustrated in these lyrics:

“Of course, you can’t love a woman who don’t need a man.

Shoulda known it.

Hope you understand I showed you the mirror

to make you a better man.”

A transparent and honest individual who has been through mental health and emotional struggles, Santyna has unconditional love for all and is using her music to touch the lives of others who need to hear her message: “You know what? You’re not alone and I see you. I’ll always be there for you, and you are loved.”

She fell in love with being able to express herself through the arts at a young age. Writing poetry in grade school was a great outlet for expressing her thoughts and feelings. Singing since she was 4 years old led Santyna to vocal lessons and eventually to writing her own melodies. Growing up, she was seriously into R&B, grooving to artists such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child and TLC.

She is already working on a project to follow “VENIN” which will focus less on relationships and share more about herself. She plans to tackle the normative ideas surrounding mental health, with cheerfulness in some tracks since this is a big part of her personality. Santyna said “I’m lighthearted. I love to have fun but at the same time, I need to talk about the serious stuff.” Not afraid to use her art to bring attention to important issues, Santyna is speaking her truth even when it may not follow popular opinion, and she has a message for those struggling with mental illness: “I hear you, I see you, and you’re gonna get through this.”
