 After using the name YG in raps since 8 years old, YG is forced to roll with a new public name for business aspects in the industry. Instead of causing rap controversy and getting legal people involved he would rather just switch his name a little by keeping the YG in it but combining it with his G-Statis which leaves you with Da Y*General. Lieutenant Y*G* is what he's formerly known by also so it will be considered as a alias/aka to Da Y*General which all means the same level of a Lieutenant General*** in the armed forces. YG earned his name by being a soldier fighting for his career and not letting many of his adversaries stop him from acheiving his goals.No Matter what YG will always be known in the streets as the real YG but now he's focused on making some of this rap money so he chooses to put the BS behind him.
