Calvin Ewings, producer and engineer, born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, has really set a new age tone for himself. Growing up in the 80's was an era when real Hip-hop influenced the world. NWA, Run DMC, Too Short, Uncle Luke are to name a few. Music is not only a creative passion to follow, but a legendary culture that changes people lives everyday. Music is a rhythm and our souls are the beat. Calvin was born with a purpose to move our feet to the beats. He is not at all shy of the industry. Calvin grew up playing drums in the family church as a child. "My mom bought me a keyboard at age of 12 and self taught myself how to play by ear". I was and still am very much so inspired by the Isselly Brothers, Parliament, blue magic basically all the old school groups". Having this kind of passion from one of the cities with the most incarcerated in America, shows that diamonds do burst from pressure. Calvin is here to stay, with several amazing placements in his catalogue to date. Starting to experience the big wins in 2006 with a co-production placement on a Dogg Pound and Paul Wall collaboration. Fast forward til 2023, Calvin has over 20 placements in the field, his career is just warming up.

Calvin started his professional In 2003, his career took a turn for the better when his great grandfather Ellis Crawford who was married to his great grandmother introduced him to his cousin Shondrae Bangladesh Crawford who is his biological grandfather. This collaboration was destined to change the future of music for Calvin and his family. Mr. Crawford is the reason we have have grown to love Calvin's productions. Mr. Crawford taught Calvin how to use the MPC 2000XL beat machine, while he was was mainly comfortable with using Korg Triton, in which was so dear to him because he had received it as a gift from his father when he was 18 years old.
