Heres my 5 cents, As a DJ/producer myself. I feel all of yall, I was spinning Xmas day, and I wanted to break out the new unsigned artists. I was banging that shit, with all my peeps for Showcaseyour music site, to Unsigned website, man the managerwent off on me. Telling me some shit about, if it aint Lil Wayne they wont dance to it. Well lets just say at about 2:30 in the morning the manager looked real stupid. I was spinning all INDIE ARTISTS,not one artist I had played in the set was part of a major label.The crowd loved it! I will continue spinning all of yall, I try to do my best to let everyone be heard, I cant spin everybody but I believe all of us NEED to be heard.Shit most of us sound better than the signed artists.....Thats why I think the industry is scared of us...Just my 5 cents.

Don't forget the DJs that think they're A&Rs.. That's a lil worst.. They fuck the game up too.. Turning down songs bcuz of some personal agenda.. And has nothin to do with the art! A DJs main goal is to BREAK NEW MUSIC! Whether or not he or she is a new artist or not.. DJs need to quit worrying about an artists affiliation and start judging based on the quality of the music being serviced and the hunger of the artist.. THEN maybe the A&Rs might start caring about what needs to be focused on.
