Chianti was born in Galveston, Texas.
As the son of a Major League Baseball player, Chianti was well traveled. He spent his adolescent years living in Dallas, Texas, Oak Cliff Fawn Ridge to be more specific. Chianti's parents were known for throwing notorious house parties, which began Chianti's journey into making music. He was influenced by the realness of Tupac Shakur, the rawness of Pimp C and Bun B of UGK, and it was around that time Chianti was relocated to the West Coast.
Upon relocating, Chianti began writing poems in order to vent and express himself because during that time he was being exposed to the other side of the streets. Engulfed in the streets and everything that came with it, Chianti became exposed to the gang culture. Little did he realize that he was destroying his community. Chianti then moved back to Texas to his father's hometown of Marshall. He decided to change the way in which he expressed himself, he would spit raps instead of poetry. Like his early influences of Tupac and UGK, he learned he could say what he wanted to say and put some good music to it. Chianti knew he was always good at putting words together, so by the age of 15 he began to take the music much more serious and began writing his own rap lyrics into songs. He would showcase and display his new set of skills around the neighborhood. "Rapping and writing was a way to make myself feel better about the stuff I was going through” said Chianti in a recent interview.
Later, Chianti met a record executive from Houston, Texas, which showed him another side of the music industry. He saw other artist stealing song ideas, melodies, bad business dealings, and janky promoters. However, not all was bad. He learned the studio side of the business which taught him how to search for the correct process for mixing and mastering. But just when it seemed like the music world was about be exposed, Chianti was arrested and had to put his music career on hold.
After years of being in the system and going in and out of prison, Chianti decided, he alone, would be in control of his own destiny and that he would get serious about his music again. Going back to prison wasn't an option anymore and he was ready to make some changes. He vowed to himself that upon becoming successful with his music career he would use the profits to help rebuild the communities he helped destroy.
Chianti reconnected with several positive influences he had met while in the music industry. One being Sweet Bennie Ray, who then connected him with his current producer, Payne, of Yesir Productions, as well as many other prominent resources.
Upon realizing he couldn't do everything alone, Chianti connected with two other like-minded businessmen and together they formed Hi-Way Money Music. All three men, being successful entrepreneurs, allowed their individual endeavors to give them different perspectives on how to run a business that they would be able to transfer to the music industry. As the saying goes, "Three heads are better than one". Since starting Hi-Way Money Music, they have recently released two popular singles. “Pretty Picture", which is a raw and vivid look into Chianti's upbringing. The lyrics in this song paint a real- life image as they are being heard. Most recent release, "Columbiana" featuring Mo3, is a hypnotizing tribute to today's priceless woman who stands by her man no matter what.
Chianti is on the road to success and has a lot more music scheduled for release, one being an EP titled "Hard Feelings".In order to rebuild those communities that were destroyed, Chianti and Hi-Way Money Music have many more positive endeavors in store for the near future.
