With the recent lost of his mother, the queen oh his inspiration and the reason we as fans in the world have grown to learn and love CMills, his pain has encouraged his passion. "What inspired me to do music was seeing my momma struggle falling to hard times financially and struggle with her usage of drugs we we’re facing eviction we went months with no lights struggle to get food going through things we never went through before and I needed some where to put my thoughts cuz I was on the verge of committing suicide and then I started talking wrote my first song I cried and that was my therapy that’s when I knew I loved music and this what I’m about to do and start a career." -CMills
The very first introduction professionally was the release of CMills single "All Night" in which was released early 2017 on all digital platforms. For CMills that was a moment of celebration, relief and gratitude. To get his music out internationally. In the beginning years of his career he started releasing his projects via Souncloud, Youtube and Reverbnation. As he continuously developed his artistry, CMills have collobarted with many in the game such as International recording artist, Young Bleed, Destinee Lynn, phenomenal lyricist from Milwaukee, WI as well. CMills also have such great collabs with, Bigg Rick, Soc Sosa, Ready, Spitta, OG, Meccah Maloh, are just to name a few. His current project includes his latest album, "Long Live Mama Mill$" expresses his love for his mother. Celebrating her life, CMills is set to release a book on October 21, 2022, "Chapter 35, First Quarter". In which will be available for fans to purchase.
As we sat down to get to know CMills on an artist level he has some beautiful encouraging words for upcoming artist. "My special advice for new artist stay focused have a plan and never give up push your music everyday no matter what it’s always new listeners that’s out that never heard you music get it out here by any means necessary. My goal for next year is to be financially straight and loving off of my music going on tours selling lots of merch and running my own clothing store a straight business man." -CMills.
