Jay Cutler to Be Moved, K.G. Out Again, And Kentucky get's a New Coach

There wasn’t just one story today to focus on in fact there was a few of headlines to talk about in sports today. John Calipari, Jay Cutler, and K.G. are a few examples of big names making the headlines, so let’s just get into it.

First off Memphis head basketball coach John Calipari had decided to leave Memphis and head to Kentucky to the tune of $35 million over 8 years. Kentucky felt like they needed a big time high profiled coach, and the wanted Coach Calipari badly which was evident by the $200,000. Kentucky paid Memphis in order to buy out his contract. Memphis on the other hand feel a little slighted because a few of the up coming recruits will probably back away from their Memphis commitment in order to follow Coach Calipari to Kentucky.

In other news the Denver Broncos have grown tired of Jay Cutler’s attitude and have decided to place him on the trading block. This comes just a week after bronco’s head coach Josh McDaniels showed confidence that he and Cutler would be able to work things out. There were rumors around the facility that Cutler would be reporting soon, and that the team was going to move forward from this riff. But Cutler continued to show that he wasn’t interested.

Rumor has it that at least 10 teams are interested in the 25-year old quarter back including the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, the New York Jets, and the Tampa Bay Bucs.

And finally news from the NBA Boston Celtic’s head coach Doc Rivers has sidelined Kevin Garnett until the final four games of the season. K.G. is still nursing a sore knee, and Rivers thinks it’s best to just rest the all star until just about the time that the playoffs will start. Garnett has missed 15 of the last 19 games with the strained tendon behind his knee. Boston right now is slightly behind the Orlando Magic at third place in the Eastern Conference.

Getting past Orlando in a seven game series may be possible but they will definitely need the big ticket if they hope to get past the red hot Cleveland Cavaliers who have won 13 straight games along their way to a franchise season record of 35-36 at home. This hasn’t been done since Mike and the Bulls. The Cavs are 61-38 over all for the season and currently hold the NBA’s best over all record.
