What is a DESTINATION MANAGEMENT COMPANY?

A Destination Management Company (DMC) is a professional services company possessing extensive local knowledge, expertise and resources, specializing in the design and implementation of events, activities, tours, transportation and program logistics. A DMC provides return on investment to clients with specific program goals and objectives through local knowledge, research, volume pricing, procurement and risk management. As your local expert, a DMC integrates available venues, attractions and destination resources to provide the best match to your program, ensuring successful results. This saves you time and money allowing you to focus on the critical content of your meeting, convention, or special event. The Core DJs, in conjunction with Mixshow Live, are bringing all the DJs together for their Bi-Annual DJ Retreat.

About the CORE DJs

Now in its 8th year, the Core DJs Worldwide is the premier coalition for DJ’s, with a membership of over 500 of the nation’s most influential DJ’s, as well as international DJ Talent. The purpose of The Core is to empower and educate the core of the music industry, the DJs. Today, there are several other DJ coalitions and some of them were inspired by The Core DJ coalition. Core DJs are represented in almost every DJ coalition, but still hold the title as the largest DJ coalition in the world!

The Core DJs started a tradition of Core Retreats
in Chicago, IL in 2005. Since then, they have produced successful Core Retreats, twice a year in several markets such as: Miami, FL; St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; New Orleans, LA; Myrtle Beach, SC; and Las Vegas. The last Core Retreat was in New Orleans, 2011. In May 2012, The Core DJs partnered with
Mixshow LIVE to bring the bi annual event back specifically to educate and help attract attention to indie artists and labels.

The movement continues with Mixshow LIVE, being used to keep up with the GROWING change of the music industry inviting radio stations, and internet stations to BROADCAST LIVE from the event, creating a social networking blitz to bring attention to our sponsors, partners, artist, labels and industry tastemakers. The Core DJs have also opened the door to other DJ organizations from around the globe to participate with their OWN events within Mixshow LIVE.

This DJ extravaganza will be held April 23-25, 2013 at The Palm Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The PALMS CASINO RESORT

The Palms Casino Resort is a casino hotel and residential tower located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The Palms Casino Resort has 653 rooms and suites and contains a 95,000 sq. ft. casino, a recording studio, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a 2,500-seat concert theater.

Mixshow LIVE will invade all aspects of this casino resort, Tuesday through Thursday, April 23 – 25, 2013.

Although it is located off the Strip, the resort has become a popular destination for many, especially with younger people, Hollywood actors, and celebrities. The Palms are styled in a modern, neo- retro fashion. They are well known for their listed luxury suites: G-Suite, Erotic Suite, Barbie Suite, Kingpin Suite, Crib Suite, Director Suite, Hardwood Suite, Celebrity Suite, the Sky Villas and the infamous Real World Suite.

The Fantasy Tower is also home to several nightlife venues including Moon Nightclub, Ghostbar, Mint Lounge, Rojo, Scarlet and Rain Nightclub. The tower holds what are known as the best special event venues Palms Pool, The Lounge, The Pearl and Brenden Theaters.

Room Descriptions

DELUXE GUEST ROOMS Our hottest new space just happens to be one you sleep in. Newly remodeled our Deluxe Rooms feature streamlined and modern interiors, 46” LDE TV, Serta Platinum Suite pillow top mattress, down feather bedding, updated modern bathroom and an electronic media hub – all designed to make your stay easy and comfortable.

SUPERIOR GUEST ROOMS are located in the Fantasy Tower. These rooms are available with  
two double beds or one king size bed and come equipped with a 30” LCD TV, mini bar, Internet access, Jacuzzi® tub, Bose® sound system, in- room safe, refreshment center, hair dryer, iron, full-size ironing board, and Aveda bath products.

Fantasy Suites are legendary venues where attendees enjoy a once in a lifetime experience together.

Six options for 50- 80 guests: From the decadence of our G Suite with pool table or Kingpin with pool table and two working bowling alleys and strip views from the 25th floor, sleeps 4.

Up to 250 guests: The Hardwood Suite at 10,000 sq. ft. features a half basketball court, luxury locker rooms, large bar area, loft with pool table and ample party space, sleeps 10.

PALMS PLACE STUDIO SUITES are 600 square feet of comfortable living space. Other luxurious in-room amenities include a King-sized bed, Queen-sized sofa sleeper, Italian bedding by Mateo, two 42” plasma TVs, state-of-the-art kitchenette, 9 foot ceiling, spacious bathroom with sleek European design, separate shower from Jacuzzi tub and a mixture of hardwood & marble flooring.

Palms Place Penthouses range from 1900 to 3000 sq. ft. of sleek luxury with floor to ceiling windows and extensive balconies offering glass spas with views from the 50th floor.

Mixshow Live Brand Ambassador Program

OVERVIEW:

MSL Brand Ambassadors are meant to embody the corporate image of MSL in appearance, demeanor, values and ethics. They will be responsible for maintaining MSL visibility and strategic branding within their markets.

IMPORTANT DATES:

After the initial selection, MSL Brand Ambassadors will be assigned annually in November. Brand Ambassadors are required to know project initiatives and attend at least one (1) Mixshow Live event annually.

•First right of refusal for Mixshow Live events

REQUIREMENTS

•Must be an active taste maker in the entertainment industry •Must have active social network sites
•Must have excellent resources in at least two (2) markets
•Must have a business bank account and/or a PayPal account •Must possess an expertise in social media, Internet marketing, email marketing and event planning. A good brand ambassador is going to be someone that can do all these things and use the resources available to build an audience that cares about the brand they represent.
