How do we help each other

When my husband was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, and I found out the medication was $9,700.00 for a thirty day supply the first question I asked the doctors was 'How many people die of cancer because they have no way to pay for medication? I got a real strange look when I asked that question, so I know many people die for no reason.

That is an outrage...in these days and times people can't afford theirmortgages let alone medication that is over $9k. That is a question that has a very gruesome answer I am quite sure.

One way that I have thought about was starting on the college campuses having parties where students pay $1 and every single dollar will go to a fund to help families effected by cancer, and we will follow up with a conference about cancer with well known dj's and aritists as well as medical proffesionals to spread awareness of the disease. Benefit concerts done by Dj's 4 Cancer Awareness and those funds will be used to help families.

We also need to make sure that all people, young and old know that some cancer is cause by genetic makeup and chromosone defects passed on from their family members.
