The Core DJ's Present FREEDOM WEEKEND (Stop The VIolence Weekend)

With all of the violence that is happening around us, Tony Neal & the Core DJ’s have decided to partner with other local leaders, artist, and community officials to present Freedom Weekend 2014. This will be a 3 day event highlighting and showcasing many of Milwaukee’s best and supporting those in need. The weekend will begin Thursday with the Core DJ’s supporting the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, followed by a Press Conference at City Hall and a poetry night on Friday. There will also be 30 & up event on Friday night at Bowlero featuring artist such Too Short, Tela, Twista to name a few. One of the major highlights of the weekend will be a Freedom March taking place on Saturday at 11am beginning on 16^th and North Ave. the march will conclude at The Core DJ stage for Bronzeville Weekend. There will be a day concert following the march featuring various local gospel artist. Saturday night there will be The Official Core DJ’s Freedom Weekend Celebration at Social Live w/ Mase & more. Sunday we will wrap up the event with an annual event that Lapham Park has every year & the Weekend Finale'

The Freedom Weekend: Stop The Violence Press Conference

Explaining:

• The Purpose & Creation of Freedom Weekend

• How the Core DJ's came about  

• How we used our resources to put together an event

• The importance of doing this event in absence of our African World Festival

Beginning on the corner of 16th and North Ave.

Starts at 11am Please arrive by 10:45am

We will be marching on the BOTH sides of the sidewalks •

The March will end on 7th & North at The Core DJ's Stage @ Bronzeville Weekend
