Tom.G aka Tommy Gunz was born and raised in Palm River, a drug infested neighborhood of Tampa, Florida but chose
to take a different path. At an early age Tom.G put his pen to paper
and started crafting rhymes. Armed with inspirational ammunition from
rap legends like Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas and Jay-Z, he
was able to use his Tommy Gun (his mind) to rapidly create lyrical
ingenuity that was embraced by all walks of life.
Tom.G stopped rapping for a period of time and started focusing on college when his grandmother passed away.
While attending Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama his innate
desire to rhyme only intensified. He and a few friends partnered to
launch Team Fetti Inc. to deliver his musical gift worldwide. Team Fetti
fired Tommy Gunz into the South with several Classic Mixtapes including
"Skroll Muzik" hosted by DJ Smallz and "The Streets Iz Talking" hosted
by Bigga Rankin (RNR). Regional hits quickly followed -- “City Boy Wit
It”, “I’m There”, and “Clean Azz Pxxxy” to name a few. The street buzz
he received catapulted Tom.G into the limelight and afforded him the
opportunity to tour with Young Jeezy (Hits After Hits Tour) and also
perform with T.I., Wyclef Jean, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Plies, Lil
Boosie, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Akon, Yung Joc, Trina, Flo Rida
and Pit Bull.
Strapped and loaded, Tom.G shot off a few impact rounds with his current singles "Problems", which uniquely
depicts the harsh reality that many have experienced in this recession
and "My Dawg Just Jumped", which chronicles the celebration experienced
when a loved one is released from incarceration.
It doesn't stop there. Tom.G just released his latest mixtape, “Skroll Muzik Vol. 5-Pressure Bust Pipes",
which is rapidly taking over the southern streets. Now certified for
war, Tommy Gunz will release his highly anticipated album, “Pressure
Game”, in the Summer of 2010. This will showcase his candor regarding
other social issues as: fatherhood, politics, spirituality, street life,
incarceration and death. In Tom.G's words he is ready to “Go Hard or Go
Home”…and he has no intentions on going home. So, be prepared to “Go
Hard” with Tommy Gunz as he positions himself for Global Impact!!
