We, the Founders of Campus Flava Magazine, are excited about the most anticipated event of 2009’s school year. Looking back, 2002 Black College Weekend had the largest record breaking attendance each year in Kings Dominion. The Black College Weekend was moved to Florida by BET around 2004 and given a new name, “Spring Bling”. Campus Flava Magazine is looking to capitalize on the high number of Black Colleges in North Carolina (11), South Carolina (6), and Tennessee (6). Campus Flava Magazine’s goal is to provide another successful festival for our College Students, Alumni, and High School Students in Charlotte, North Carolina.

We believe the Black College Labor Day Festival will be overwhelmingly supported and well received by the great citizens of North and South Carolina and the surrounding areas on Saturday and Sunday September 5 and 6, 2009 at Independence Park in Downtown Charlotte.

On Saturday and Sunday September 5 and 6, 2009, will be the hottest Labor Day Event in Charlotte, North Carolina. This huge event is expected to draw in thousands of excited citizens from all over North Carolina and South Carolina. This will be an annual event here in Charlotte, NC, which we plan to grow each year by adding Professional Artists, Black College Football Games, Car Shows, and Battle of The Bands.
