The Beginning

Don P is not your ordinary rapper stemming out of Oakland, California. Don P showed his passion for the music hustle by executive producing his first studio album "yall ready 4 me" (1998) the album hit the streets like widfire ecthing out the begining of a hip hop superstar in the making. Rapper Don P was apart of one of the few legendary tales in Hip Hop History of a rap icon turned mogul, who turned millions into billions, and gave the soon to be radio sensation and "Player Mayor" Don P a chance at stardom.

Few people in this industry can proclaim they have been found behind a famous rap mogul such as Puff Daddy, 50 Cent, Jay Z, or thats right, PERCY Miller, aka Master P, the Head of No Limit Records. "I remember the first time I was in the studio over at No Limit in Richmond Ca, I was freestyling outside the studio of No Limit Producer K-Lou, and he overheard my lyrics in a matter of moments. Within three days I had completed my project demo. At the end of the month I was flown to LA, and was signed by Master P's producer K-Lou, handed a lump sum check, and a chain to the No Limit Family." He then released "you aint know" through K-Lou under the No Limit umbrella,"

Beyond No Limit

Don P has kept himself in the music by keeping himself real to the people who have been adviseries to his music hustle. Don P was recently featured on the new single and video "lil mama" featuring the Prince of Hyphy Mistah Fab, which highlights one of the best videos in Bay Area history, which has more models than any other video.

The inspiration behind his music, and the following he has built within the 10 years he has been in the studio, it has been a blessing to see such a humble, yet outspoken character make such quality music, all the while maintain a positive image, and provide a comfortable atmosphere not only in his music, but in his performance, which has shown with all his new recent work like the first radio single and video featured song with the Jacka, titled "Distractions", which can be seen on you tube and vimeo. The song is very catchy, and it shows two great artists at the pinochle of there careers.

Don P Today

Don P, with the blessing of Rick Lee, Mind Motion, Scotty Fox, Big Von, and the rest of the staff at KMEL, has three radio aired singles "Distractions", featuring the Jacka of the Mob Figaz, "Your with Me", featuring Matt Blaque, and "Supastar", featuring Kiesha Cole. All these radio singles have been played on the radio in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Bay Area, Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego, Portland, and is currently in rotation in college radio circuit nationwide.

During his recent radio success, and after the single "you're with me" dropped on the radio at KMEL, he also released his street classic song/video "Distractions", which won an Award at the West Coast Hip Hop Awards 2009 as "Video of The Year". Immediately after this he secured an endorsement deal by Stunna Alcohol for an Ad Campaign, as well as a Stunna Alcohol Sponsored "Drink Stunna" Tour. Among all these great opportunity's, he is also going to be released on highly anticipated upcoming projects by fellow rappers Beanie Sigel of New York and Kokaine of Los Angeles.

During the last two months Don P was also working with his management company on his new internet ventures, helping in the creation of websites where his fans from regions all over the United States can join up and read news in there own city, as well as a place where his fellow rappers, and independent hustlers in these regions he frequents can have outlets to be seen and heard. All these sites we have up for the purpose of having outlets to help people in these cities, and it also helps us develop our own relationships with people who could also use help in there city, as well as other cities."

Don P has opened up shows for the Clipse, The Luniz, Ghetto Boys, Scarface, Willie D, Bushwick Bill, Big Mike, 69 Boys, Loon, MC Hammer, Devin The Dude, Kanye West, Dwayne Wiggins, Tony Tone Toni, Ludacris, Chingy, Dru Down, Bubba Sparks, Keak Da Sneak, San Quinn, Digital Underground, The Jacka, Too Short, E40, B-Legit and many other big name acts.
