The St.Louis based company, Black Pearl entertainment, has completed another milestone. Back in 1995 they became the first African American owned and operated tattoo establishment in the Midwest. Then in 2006 with the talent of Yung Ro they became the first independent music company out the gateway city to accomplish climbing the Billboard Music charts independently, #3 on the HipHop/RnB singles, #6 on the Pop single chart, #11 on the top 200 International songs chart with the TrackBoyz produced banger "Donk Dat". The following year Yung Ro again charted #6 on the HipHop/RnB Singles Chart with the Beastaz produced single "Fresha Den a Mall". Yung Ro rise to fame was fueled by the father/son relationship between he and his manager father, Roland Sato Page Sr. Now the tables has turned, Yung Ro is managing his father career as a author of the soon to be released novel "Eating the Forbidden Fruit". The book is loosely based on true events in Roland Sr. life as a Police Officer convicted of federal crimes because of his street affiliation. The story takes you on a roller coaster ride within the author's upbringing. Read about his struggle between morality and unethical acts. How he found salvation with his family and faith. "Eating the Forbidden Fruit" illustrates that you can't run from karma because it will eventually catch up with you.
Be on the lookout for the book in Jan of 2020 on all amazon book outlets. For more info contact:Eatingtheforbiddenfruit@gmail.com
