With over a decade of hit-making experience and a certified smash in Rihanna's 1 single, "Umbrella; Terius "The-Dream" Nash is stepping from behind the scenes with a wake-up call. "Music is uninspiring right now" says the confident Atlanta native. "The bar needs to be raised; a creative standard should be set in music. I'm hoping that the real quality in these songs shines through, and leaves a sounding impact on the listeners." His debut CD, Love Hate, is a sonic gauntlet thrown down against complacent, cookie cutter music. Propelled by the first single "Shawty is a Ten," the mastermind behind the explosive J. Holiday single "Bed" will do nothing short of redefine R&B for 2007 and beyond. Born in North Carolina, Terius Nash was raised in the Bankhead section of Atlanta, Georgia. Before he found his calling in music, the industrious young man made ends meet doing everything from working at Checkers to becoming a collections agent. After graduating from H.S., Dream joined a singing group, Guess Who, signed by local rapper Raheem. They sang the hook to "Most Beautiful Girl," which became moderately successful. "It did pretty good, got a lot of spins," says Nash. A few years later, The-Dream began writings songs for up-and-coming rappers and hooks for his peers. He got his first publishing deal in 2003, when he signed to Peer Music after writing B2K's single, "Everything." The song, off B2K's platinum sophomore album, Pandemonium, truly put The-Dream on the map. "My grand daddy told me I would never make any money in this business. Music just wasn't a reality for him. I never knew until I was 21 or 22 that I could actually be successful in the music business." With one success under his belt, Terius began to build momentum and soon found himself associating with the upper echelons of pop stardom. "A year after B2K I did the Britney Spears and Madonna record," he begins. "I recorded vocals and wrote to that record after Tricky, the guy I did 'Umbrella' with, decided he didn't want the track anymore. I was the new guy in the building so I stayed overnight running in and out the booth recording myself in Pro Tools. Tricky and a writer before me, Penelope, went up to N.Y. [to meet] Britney. They played a lot of songs and Britney was like, I dunno. Then they got to "Me Against the Music" and she was like, "Oh, I'm digging that. I love that hook!" Unfortunately, that song didn't push The-Dream to the level he wanted to reach. He spent two years working on other projects including Nivea's second album, which he executive produced. "Trick and I just started making records. By the time we got to Umbrella we were like 'ok, we got it.'" Dream insisted that L.A Reid hear the song and the rest is history. Now The-Dream is finally in the building, combining all of his hit-making talents for his debut, Love Me All Summer, Hate Me All Winter. Throughout his career, Dream has seen people change like the weather, but in the coming months he is forecasting a 100% chance of reign. "It's more of what I'm giving other people. It's like the 80s; it's musical. I'm doing the 'Umbrella' routine to this whole album. All of my records are singles. The album is really visual as well. It appeals to all your senses, similar to 'Thriller'." Songs like the soulful "She Needs My Love" and "Falsetto" solidify Terius' status as a triple threat, singer, writer and producer. "Artists are gonna have to do some homework to find out who they are."
LLOYD BANKS
LLOYD BANKS OF G-UNIT IS NOW ACCEPTING OFFERS!! DATES OPEN!!
For Booking contact: powermovesent@gmail.com or 505-620-5001 Please include Date, City and State, Venue, Capacity and Offer.
Lloyd Banks is one of the most respected MC's in the game today! Don't miss your chance on bringing him to your city live!!
Lloyd Banks was raised in Jamaica, Queens, by his Puerto Rican mother; his father spent much of his son's childhood behind bars. Like many young men amid the poverty and ruin of his community, he found solace through ghetto poetry and the work of rappers like Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick. He dropped out of high school at the age of 16, finding the structured environment a hindrance to his developing talent for rhyming. After appearing on numerous local mixtapes, Banks, along with childhood friends Tony Yayo and 50 Cent, formed a crew called G-Unit, a group that proceeded to redefine the term "street marketing" with a series of self-released albums that included original numbers and quality artwork. Banks stayed on with 50 Cent, appearing on the artist's now classic 2003 debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin'. November of that same year saw the release of G-Unit's Beg for Mercy. Banks' long-awaited solo debut for G Unit/Interscope Records, Hunger for More, was released in June 2004. He followed it two years later with Rotten Apple.

Stayve Jerome Thomas, better known as Slim Thug, is an American rapper. He gained mainstream attention for his contribution to the popular single from rapper Mike Jones, "Still Tippin'". He began his rap career with Swishahouse in the late 1990s. After realizing how much money he could make distributing his own mixtapes, he parted ways with Swishahouse on good terms and formed his own independent label, Boss Hogg Outlawz. Slim Thug has since worked with Interscope Records until August 3, 2008, where he went to Koch Records. According to MTV.com, Lupe Fiasco's video for "Hip Hop Saved My Life" was based on Slim Thug's life story. "It is based on Thug boss cause he is so G, and inspires me," Fiasco revealed. Slim Thug also released the song "Like a Boss" which has now been made into a popular parody by The Lonely Island.

NEW BOYZ!!
New Boyz started 2009 as a Los Angeles underground youth phenomenon, but in only a matter of months, they’ve become rising stars on a national level. In this short time period, 17-year-olds Ben J and Legacy have gone from shows in local high school gyms to performing on the red carpet at the BET Awards and booking an impressive lineup of concerts across the country. This astounding jump comes from the success of their song “You’re a Jerk,” a hypnotic dancefloor-filler that the New York Times called “pretty much perfect.” Though it started as a favorite on MySpace, it has turned into a certified hit. It not only became the most requested track on influential L.A. radio station Power 106, but it’s taken over playlists around the country. During its first week for sale on iTunes, “You’re a Jerk” sold over 53 thousand copies. The duo of Ben J (born Earl Benjamin) and Legacy (Dominic Thomas) met as freshmen at Hesperia High School in San Bernardino County. Both were part of the same extra large rap group, but then each left to become solo artists. With their October birthdays only a day apart, they pooled their gift money to buy rudimentary recording equipment. After Legacy transferred to a new school, they decided to combine forces as New Boyz, creating a sound, slang and fashion sense that’s made them the biggest hip-hop group to emerge from L.A. in years. While “You’re a Jerk” has helped bring New Boyz global recognition, the song has also shown a spotlight on Los Angeles’ growing, and teen-driven, jerk music movement. Jerk music is a stripped down party sound, largely created on home computers for kids with crazy haircuts, and has been building in popularity around the city for years. The neon bright video for “You’re a Jerk” features appearances from many of the rubber-limbed dance crews associated with the scene. In fact, it was these dancers that helped popularize the song in the first place, taking it from MySpace to YouTube and eventually gaining the attention of radio DJs. “We just did ‘You’re a Jerk’ as another song, the fans are the ones that did all the promoting,” says Ben J. “They started making jerk video after jerk video after jerk video to it.” Though “You’re a Jerk” is the first single from Skinny Jeanz & A Mic, their forthcoming album on Asylum/Warner Brothers, New Boyz is bigger than just one sound. “People think we only do jerk music, but we do a whole lot of everything,” says Legacy. “The album’s about the typical teenage life.” For instance, “Colorz” finds them repping the colorful clothing worn by today’s youth, while “Tie Me Down” takes on girls who are overeager to lock them down in relationships. Though Skinny Jeanz & A Mic features the sonic imprint of modern movements like hyphy and Atlanta’s own teen rap madness, it’s also heavily influenced by the minimal bass and drum machine sound from hip-hop’s earliest days. While Legacy handled the distinctive production on half of the album, including “You’re a Jerk,” initially this move was done out of necessity. “I knew if we didn’t make our own beats, we’d have to pay people, and we didn’t have any money at the time,” says Legacy. “I had to teach myself to make beats. I’d watch YouTube for tutorials.” For the rest of the album, New Boyz are going into the studio with Diplo, the internationally respected DJ and producer responsible for MIA’s “Paper Planes,” but are also working with other young L.A. producers including JHawk, Jukebox, Talent and Jay-Nari. The results only enhance Skinny Jeanz & A Mic’s celebration of teenage talent. “They’re kids like us,” says Legacy.

Since making his recording debut in 2005, Trey Songz has patiently and artfully crafted some of the most acclaimed and compelling R&B music of the decade. His first two Songbook Entertainment/Atlantic albums, "I GOTTA MAKE IT" (2005) and "TREY DAY" (2007), yielded a trio of top ten singles, "Girl Tonight," "Last Time," and "Can't Help But Wait." And when the latter song garnered Trey a coveted Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, it marked the validation of the faith shown in Trey by the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who hailed him as one of "the most promising R&B artists we have had since we started the company 60 years ago." Now, with the 2009 release of "READY," Trey Songz is more than ready to claim his place in the pantheon of R&B greats. "Many people tell me that I don't get my just due," says Trey. "They may know my singles, but between my records, I've also released mixtapes like 'Swagga Like Songz' and 'The Ladies Choice.' Now, 'READY' embodies everything I am as an artist. Everybody can be happy with the album, from the hip-hop to the R&B crowd." "READY" draws music and lyrics from such accomplished producers and songwriters as Eric Hudson, Sean Garrett, Stargate, Bryan-Michael Cox, Soul Keys, Jermaine Dupri, Soundz, and long-time collaborator Troy Taylor. On the album's first official single, "I Need A Girl," Stargate (Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen) deliver their signature guitar-led production. The Norwegian-born, NYC-based pair previously worked on Trey's Grammy-nominated "Can't Help But Wait," and decided to revisit their magic on "READY."

or call 505-620-5001 “King Kong ain’t got nothing on me!”—Denzel Washington as Alonzo in 2001’s Training Day
In Hollywood, playing Alonzo earned Denzel Washington an Academy Award for Best Actor. But in East Point, Georgia, being Alonzo Mathis didn’t earn Block Entertainment recording artist Gorilla Zoe any accolades, only obstacles.
Born and bred in Southwest Atlanta, Zoe came up like most adolescents in his neighborhood. Skating rinks, swimming pools and rap music were the gist of his existence while Bass music and popular West Coast Hip Hop acts like DJ Quik, NWA and Snoop Doggy Dogg supplied the soundtrack to his life.
“I was 10 or 11 around that time,” reflects Zoe, who to this day remembers his first attempt at rapping himself. “I hit record on the tape deck, plugged the mic into the stereo and tried to rap over a Too $hort instrumental.”
Now 25, Zoe is spitting over beats from Jazze Pha, Sha Money XL, Drumma Boy, Dee Jay Dana and Chris Flame for his solo debut Welcome To the Zoo.
In many ways, looking on Zoe’s life is akin to watching a film like Training Day or seeing an animal grow. Distracted by his surroundings, Zoe was kicked out of school before entering 10th grade and left home soon after. At 16, he enlisted in Job Corps and spent a year in Kentucky, picking up a culinary trade and hustling everything from cigarettes to Ramen noodles to keep some change in his pocket. Dissatisfied by the odd jobs and trouble life was offering him when he returned to Atlanta, Zoe decided to act on one of his first instincts, rapping. Welcome to the Zoo chronicles his life experiences from that point on, and shed lights on the lives of others like his.
“Back in the day, they called the city the concrete jungle because you can get ate up out there, but its more restricted now,” explains Zoe about the album’s title. “The whole world is watching. Its like people are amused by the ‘hood now, everybody knows about it now. All eyes are on our living situations. We’re living like we’re the damn zoo and we’re the animals being watched.”
Inspired by the reality-based music of The Dayton Family, South Circle, 8Ball & MJG, UGK and Outkast, Zoe began recording music professionally at age 18. Even though he sold all 5,000 copies of the CD he financed and pressed up himself, he was unimpressed with his own material and chose to act on his other instinct, hustling.
Zoe landed a job at Atlanta record store The Funk Shop and in two years he was overseeing its daily operations. In the process he saved enough money to build a recording studio in downtown Atlanta, next door to T.I.’s Grand Hustle and DJ Drama’s Apphilliates offices. Through the studio, he became acquainted local producer Chris Flame who gave Zoe beats to rap over. Flame passed some of their music to Block Entertainment founder Russell “Block” Spencer who sought him out immediately and signed him in March 2007.
Zoe, who is originally signed as a solo artist, made his national debut as the newest member of fearsome foursome Boyz N Da Hood on numerous mixtapes in 2007. Now, with the audience’s appetites whetted for Welcome To the Zoo, Zoe is poised to show the world that King Kong has nothing on him either.
Zoe spits truth serum on songs like the Sha Money XL-produced “Last Time I Checked” where he informs listeners that most of their favorite rappers live in Hollywood—because they’re actors. He also offers up advice on the Jazze Pha-laced “Locked Up Or Dead,” talking about the times he was supposed to end up the way the song title suggests.
With songs like the already certified banger “Hood Nigga” and features from the likes of Akon and Bobby Brown, Welcome to The Zoo will serve as a proper introduction to one of the most unique voices rap has ever heard.
“One of my favorite albums is Dr. Dre’s The Chronic,” admits Zoe. “That’s the kind of album I wanted to create. Something that can stand the test of time.”
DJ ANDY GIL
As a San Diego Native Andy Gil has made his mark in sin city. Playing at the number 1 Hip-Hop club in Las Vegas, he has not only made a name for himself as 1 of the best Hip-Hop DJs in Sin City, but also because of his skills on the mic. Not to mention, he has also managed to work as a radio disc jockey for the past 6 years as well. When he's not mixing at Poetry Nightclub, he's hosting different events around Vegas including a local music video count down show.
Do you have a particular skill that sets you apart? I like to use the mic and make our clients BE the party and not just feel like there AT a party! Many clubs don’t do this but I enjoy shouting out where they are from or if it’s their birthday, or if they got or are getting married, etc! They remember that stuff and that is important to me cause that simple shout could make their night!
How did you get started DJing? A club GM asked me too! I was playing college football in Kansas and I was at the club after a game. I asked to get on the mic to get the crowd hype. He then asked me to play the music too! I got my CD’s together and the next week I found a way to make some extra cash while going to school!
What is the very best thing about Vegas and/or DJing in Vegas? Vegas is the best place to spin hands down! Having a residency here for six years has given me the opportunity to meet some big names! If your not in New York, Miami or L.A., your most likely in Vegas!
Most requested song? And how do you feel about requests? Right now anything from Drake is hot. I don’t mind requests at all because it keeps me updated on what’s hot and I just may be missing a hot track from a different part of the country.
Are you working on any projects right now? Im working on a mix-tape with this local artist that’s gonna be HUGE from Vegas. His name is ABCDE (pronounced ab-si-dee) and hes got this great West Coast flavor that’s ridiculous. I’m also working on an entertainment show (producing and hosting) and also looking to team up with Powermoves Entertainment to get out and about in the Hip-Hoop club circuit around the world.
Being a dj in Vegas whos your favorite celebrity you’ve crossed paths with? I’ve been able to cross paths with Russel Simmons, Nas, Lil Jon, & Diddy. Diddy actually came into the club one night and I was able to play some Biggie for him. Ironically he also called into the radio station the next day because he was getting the key to the city and I got to chat with him even more. I’ll never forget him thanking me for playing Biggie. Word!

Marcus Ramone Cooper, better known by his stage name
Pleasure P is a contemporary R&B singer who experienced success as a member of the group Pretty Ricky before embarking on a solo career in 2007. In 2008 he released his solo debut single,
"Did You Wrong" which quickly charted on the Billboard Hot 100, and though it only reached the top 90 on the US charts, it was successful for an unprecedented debut, and charted high on the R&B Charts and Airplay Charts. His solo debut album, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, was released on June 9, 2009. It was originally going to be released in January but got pushed back to March 31, then to May 5, and now is scheduled to be released June 9. Pleasure P's career received a boost by being featured in the second single from Flo Rida's album "R.O.O.T.S.", gaining much publicity from his presence on its guest list. Pleasure P also released a 2008 EP entitled
"Boyfriend #2", including "Did You Wrong" and a promo single "Boyfriend #2", released digitally and as an LP disc. Videos for "Did You Wrong" and "Boyfriend #2" were released digitally and on MySpace. Later on in 2009 he also released the song "Under" off of the album. "The reason I named it that is because Pretty Ricky introduced you all to Pleasure P, but now Pleasure P is going to introduce you to Marcus Cooper, which is my government name," says the 24-year-old, who left his post as lead singer of the group last year. "This time, I'm in my own lane musically -- I'm grown up now. I'm talking about things that average R&B guys don't talk about but that average people can relate to.My music is classier and I'll tell you exactly how it is."

Def Jam’s latest sensation, Jeremih, was born with rhythm pulsing through his veins. Growing up on Chicago’s infamous Southside, the 21 year-old singer/songwriter behind the nationwide breakout hit “Birthday Sex” started making big noise when he was just a little boy. “When I was three my mom and dad gave me a drum set for Christmas,” recalls Jeremih. “It was a little Sears set and I ended up busting every head on it that year. That’s when it hit them and me that I was really into percussion. At a very young age I really fell in love with making music.”
