An up-and-coming rapper reportedly died recently and is making headlines for tweeting hip-hop star Drake's "You Only Live Once (YOLO)" catchphrase prior to his fatal drunk driving crash.
According to reports, the rapper's death occurred on Memorial Day in Canada.
At a time when activists are calling for more responsibility in hip-hop, the genre finds itself under the microscope again. The rapper, amongst friends, admitted to driving over 100 miles per hour on his Twitter page.
A tweet may have provided details to the reasons for a one-car crash that killed five young men on Sunday. "Drunk (expletive) going 120 drifting corners," was posted at 1:19 a.m. Sunday on the Twitter account belonging to @ink2flashyy. The post ended with the acronym Y.O.L.O., which means "You Only Live Once." The account belonged to Ervin McKinness, 21, of Ontario. He was one of the five men killed in the crash about 1:40 a.m. Monday at Creekside Drive and Haven Avenue. (SB Sun)
Reports claim Drizzy made the "You Only Live Once" popular

Last year, Drake revealed plans to drop a joint Rick Ross mixtape called Y.O.L.O.
Drake revealed to XXL that the much talked about joint album withLil Wayne is on the back burner, possibly for good, but he and Rick Ross have been exchanging ideas for a duet mixtape. "I have been working on a mixtape with Ross," Drake said. "A mixtape called Y.O.L.O. [That means] 'You Only Live Once'. I've been working on that for the last couple of weeks. We haven't really connected because he's been going through this thing with his health. I've been stashing my little beats and verses." (XXL Mag)
