Chicago has been known to birth extraordinary talent such as R. Kelly, Kanye West and Chaka Khan. So there is no surprise when I say that Chicago has done it again!

Up and coming cousin rap duo, Nex2Kin, is making big moves. They have come a long way since their initial connection at a family reunion. From working with artists such as Twista to headlining their own tour, these men are proving that they are not just another rap group.

Alexis: So how did Nex2Kin become a group?

Rich-an-Yung: Well, it started at a family reunion, me and bro were doing our separate things. He was always rapping and doing his thing but I was on the other side hooping. But, I could always rap, and people were just saying that we should get together and link up. Next thing you know, we started rapping, and now you got Nex2Kin.

A: So you are represented by Daniels Group, who is known for working with artists such as R. Kelly. How has that experience been?

Bligg: Of course, it’s an honor.

R: That’s a major accomplishment for us. It’s a blessing.
