Chris Brown Cancels Guyana Show Amid Protests from Women's Groups, Spends Thanksgiving w/ Rihanna

Guyana is not rolling out the welcome mat for Chris Brown. Women's rights groups in the South American country protested the singer's Dec. 26 show, causing him to cancel the gig all together.

The uproar stems from his 2009 assault on Rihanna, with whom he spent the Thanksgiving holiday.

Brown was billed to headline a big show in the capital city of Georgetown, which was overshadowed by protesters and statements from opposition lawmakers. Rather than face the scrutiny, the Virginia native was said to be uneasy about the whole thing, and saw it best to pull out of the show.

Guyana is the latest country to give a negative response to Brown's international tour run. As previously reported, a group in Sweden used that now infamous image of Rihanna's battered face to promote his show in the country.

But while some are still upset with Breezy for assaulting his ex, Rihanna has moved in an opposite direction. The 24-year-old flew to Berlin to attend Brown's show in the German city. The former couple also partied at Adagio's nightclub, and rode together in the same vehicle.

In addition to spending time together, Rih and Brown have taken their reconciliation back to music by way of the track "Nobody's Business," appearing on the Bajan beauty's Unapologetic release.
