Regardless of the politically correct rhetoric put out by many artists that they are not role models, the fact remains that many of our children are listening to and watching them closely. In an era when our youth are being inundated with the sights and sounds of gratuitous sex, pointless materialism, and hopeless "trapping", it is refreshing to witness an emerging musical revolution poised to re-instill positivity and respect into their hearts and minds.
At the forefront of this movement is Jacksonville, FL native Shrisma Kimbrough-Smith, who embodies the term artist in every sense of the word. All hail Queen-Royalty, recording artist, rapper, songstress, songwriter, arranger, poet, actress, fashion designer, exhibition artist, stylist, hair designer, and entrepreneur. Although she may have a Princess (of Crime Mob) flow, her lyrical ability heard in songs such as “Promises” and “Bang-Bang” illustrate why her title of “Queen” is befitting.
