The world famous iStandard Producer Showcase, presented by Native Instruments, returns to the A3C Hip Hop festival for the third year in a row October 7- 8, 2010 in The Masquerade music complex’s Purgatory.
The iStandard Producer Showcase is the longest running and largest producer-driven event in the country currently in 12 cities nationwide. iStandard aims to provide a platform for up and coming producers to showcase their talents, teach them how to present their music and assist them in building key relationships in the music industry.
Over the course of the two nights, 24 producers will play their music for various industry tastemakers, platinum producers, label executives and receive priceless feedback on how to harness their craft. One producer, with the highest overall score for the two days, will take home the grand prize package consisting of various production related hardware, software, interviews and a Native Instruments Maschine. Previous judges for the iStandard Producer Showcase at the A3C include DJ Premier, Sha Money XL and Hi Tek. Past producers participating in the showcase have gone on to work with artists such as 50 Cent, The Clipse, Buckshot, KRS One and Scarface.
This year’s judges include Platinum Producers The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League (Rick Ross and Mary J. Blige), Tha Bizness (Jeezy, Drake and Trey Songz), Needlz (50 Cent, Drake and Bruno Mars), and Nick Fury (Lil Flip, TI and Trick Daddy) with more to be announced. The showcase will also feature live performances by artists such as Archie Eversole, The Embassy and L.E.P. In addition, iStandard co–CEO J Hatch is moderating an exclusive Native Instrument platinum producer panel on October 8, 2010 from 6 – 7:30 p.m., panelists include Tha Bizness, The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Nard & B, Needlz and more.

In addition to the iStandard Producer Showcase presented by Native Instruments, the A3C Hip Hop Festival features a wide variety of programming including the Needle to the Record DJ Competition presented by Traktor, Pro-Audio demonstrations, one-on-one breakdance competition, educational/community panel discussions and live performances from over two hundred of Hip Hop’s best artists. Events and performers will be released on a continual basis until the start of the festival.
