The much-anticipated BEATS MUSIC throws its hat into the ring TODAY (1/21), as a new competitor to existing services like PANDORA, SPOTIFY, RDIO and APPLE's iTUNES RADIO. The big difference for the newcomer is its subscription-only pay structure that looks to stand out with better content discovery.

There are some well-known names behind BEATS MUSIC. At the top, it's DR. DRE, JIMMY IOVINE and TRENT REZNOR. But the human element runs through the company.
