THE EDUCATION SUPPLIES RECYCLING PROJECT CREATED BY THE ARTIST 'CHI'
The artist 'Chi' has been busy collecting donated school books and supplies to be recycled and passed on to schools in developing countries that urgently need books and education supplies for their students.
We are all witnessing the current ongoing tensions on the beautiful island of Jamaica. Underpinning such tensions are complex issues such as poverty and illiteracy. One such school that needs our aid and assistance is Watsontown Basic School in Dumfries, St. James, Jamaica
Chi has so far collected several hundred quality school books. Working alongside Deborah Friedman from the radio station Irie Vibes Radio Station, Detroit, US, they desperately need to raise funds for the shipping of the books direct from the United Kingdom to Jamaica. A shipping firm has already been assigned and the books are to be packed up this coming week. This school is just one of many that urgently needs our help...
We are appealing to our Urban Unique membership to please assist with the costs of the shipment by contacting and sending any amount of donation/s NO MATTER HOW SMALL to:
