The Boy Illinois Teams Up with YP on Buzz Single "Downtown"
The Boy Illinois dropped another banger with this classic Chi-town artist YP, "Downtown". Spitting over a simple beat, YP and Illi set up a typical tag team with the one liner hook to keep fans engaged and on edge. The Boy Illinois opens the single, dropping clues about hustling in the heart of the city, staying legal and low. YP closes out the song with Chicago references from Michael Jordan to CPN numbers & paints a visual of oak street, downtown. An unorthodox match up yet they both bring their own unique touch, describing the heartbeat of Chicago: "Downtown."
