Millions will cast their ballots tonight, but the votes that matter the most are cast by members of the Electoral College months later. Mitt Romney has taken a lead in an average of the national polls, but as seen below, President Obama continues to hold a lead over Mitt Romney in the key state polls released over the last 72 hours.
The last Electoral College projection gave Obama 277 votes, compared to 261 votes for Mitt Romney. Today’s update gives Obama the same edge over Romney by a 303-235 Electoral College vote count.
Since the last update new polls have been released in the states of Ohio, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, Missouri, California, New York, and Oklahoma.
