He is keeping r&b alive: singer Zay Foggs

Indianapolis singer Zay Foggs, fresh off of a sterling performance as the opening act on the second night of the Macy’s Music Festival (with headliner Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, and support acts: The O‘Jays, Monica and Midnight Star) is set to open the annual Circle City Classic Concert at the Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis on Friday, October 5th on a bill with Charlie Wilson, S.O.S. Band and Tank. The show presented by Geno Shelton, will mark the alum of North Central High School’s second biggest performance of his career.

Foggs after sound check at the Macy's Music Festival was approached in the stadium hallway by r&b legendary singer Eddie Levert of The O'Jays and told, "Young man I don't pay attention to other artists and their soundcheck, but I was drawn to your voice and had to come in to the stadium and hear who was doing that", Levert further said, "Keep it up, you have a great voice and stay grounded and keep working and good things will happen."
In his young career, Foggs has already done sessions with Bo Watson of Midnight Star on his debut single “Slow Song”, which also features Reggie Griffin on lead guitar, and in February he got to meet the legendary Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds in Atlanta.

Foggs has a new single called “I Don’t Wanna Sleep” which is getting favorable reactions from fans and deejays. Mostly known for being a ballad singer, his next single scheduled for later this year will be the up-tempo “You’re A Superstar” (which features some hot organ playing from Rodney Stepp and a rap break from Naptown emcee Skypp on the extended mix).

So far Foggs has done dates in Atlanta, Miami, Cleveland, Louisville, Cincinnati, Nashville, Tallahassee, St. Louis and Birmingham to name a few.

All of his music is available wherever digital downloads are sold
