Nicki Minaj Tells The Breakfast Club Retailers Not Selling Her Album "Sets You Up To Fail"

Nicki Minaj stopped through Power 105.1 to discuss the myriad of activities she has her hands in with The Breakfast Club. Everything from her relationship with Mariah Carey, to her new label to radio not supporting her records was covered. But a particularly interesting portion was when she explained why some fans have had trouble getting their hands on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up, which is out now.

"It's hard to get the album because the store's basically said that the last few re-releases they had put out did not do well and they didn't want to take a chance," said Nicki Minaj. "So Target and Walmart is not selling the album. And Target is actually my biggest retailer. They've sold the most Nicki Minaj album ever; thank you Target, but I wish you could have sold this one... It kind of sets you up to fail."

The "Freedom" rapper added,"But, at the end of the day I'm happy that I was able to put the music out. The real reason for me to put out the Re-Up is because I wanted to have a bridge between this time and the third album. I wanted people to have music that I really stand by."

Now doesn't that imply that she wasn't 100 percent behind the tunes on the OG version of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, no? What do you think of Nicki's explanation?

Another interesting portion is when Minaj barks on interviewers for not doing their due diligence as far as researching who they interview (sparked by Angela Yee not seeing the video for "Freedom." Watch the rest of the interview with Power 105.1  below.

I'm sure what she meant to say was "retailers not selling her album is setting HER up to fail...!" SMH "Pride goeth before the fall...!"
