Tell us about you and your career?
It all started with Father Sin who started selling drugs at a young age and eventually ended up getting busted. Wanting something different for his life he turned to his passion (which was music). He eventually met up with Nebo, L-chill, Image and O.N.E. who had the same passion for music as he did and were serious about getting it out to everyone. The difference in styles between the artist compliment each other and gives a different sound you would not expect to hear by the look of the group.

What does hiphop stand for today?
Hip Hop used to be about an artist expressing themself and sharing their experiences from wherever they were from. Today hip hop is used as a way to make a quick buck. You can only make so many songs about doing a new dance. Where is the content? Eventually those artist just fade away.

Who controls the industry? Artists or DJ's?
We would have to say the DJ's control the industry. You can have the hottest album of the century, but if noone hears it..... it doesn't matter. DJ's are essential to independent artist getting their music heard.

Where do you feel music in general is going today?
Music is as diverse as the artist that creates it. To say that music is going in one direction or the other would not be accurate. The only thing thats changed is how we listen to or purchase music. The internet for example. Everything from music to purchasing products to promoting canidates for the presidency has changed because of it.

What is your biggest obstacle?
Like most independent artist I would have to say money. Everything in this business cost money. From production to studio to promotion ... you are going to have to come off of some money somewhere in this process.

How do you feel about local radio?
We were suprised to find out that some radio stations will only consider working with you based on your race. In one situation we contacted a local radio station to find out what we needed to do to get on the radio. Once they (the radio station) found out they were speaking to an hispanic artist they suggested we go somewhere else. Needless to say our opnion on radio is not that high. At least that radio station anyway. Not anymore.

How do you feel about the situation in Haiti?
Any situation where people go through that much suffering your heart automatically goes out to them. At least those that have a heart do. Thats why you see so many people having benefits for them. Alone you feel helpless, but when you can come together with others to make a difference for someone other than yoursself, thats getting the big picture.

How do you deal with haters and myspace gangsters?
Anyone doing good for themselves will ALWAYS have haters. So let them hate. As for myspace "Gangsta's" There is a huge difference between MySpace and My Face you feel me. Put in work or be silent.

What is your take on our economy?
It is what it is. Jacked up. The only thing you can do is stay on your grind to support the ones you love.

Who would you like to do a feature with and why?
Father Sin would have liked do a song with Pimp C who is no longer with us. Pimp C was an artist that Father Sin can relate to. Aztec Escobar is another artist that Father Sin can relate to.
Nebo would like to work with Lucky Luciano. He's always enjoyed everything about his music.
L-chill would like to do a feature with Dr. Dre. Other than being an icon in this business he really has an ear for music. West coast beats with a little southern flava would be hot
Image would like to work with Trae. Trae smashes all his hits because he is real. He is underated.
O.N.E. would like to do a feature with Drake. He sucker punched the industry with his new swag.

What is your opinon on Kanye's outburst at every event?
He seems to be a peraon that is really self-centered. If things don't go his way or how feels they should he feels the need to express himself. The problem is noone cares how he feels. He really should shut up. He only makes himself look bad. If it's really that big of a deal, put it to the music and let that speak for you. That's what an artist does.

What is your advice for an upcoming rapper?
You are your biggest fan. If you don't believe in you... nobody else will. Keep Grinding.

How do fans reach you or hear your music?
The best way to reach us is on our myspace at www.myspace.com/texasempireent
