Vote 4 Hip-Hop Culture: It Didn't Matter

It didn’t matter yesterday. It didn’t matter, because he knew we could.

It didn’t matter that Obama was black. It didn’t matter that Sarah Palin was a woman. It didn’t matter that America is 75% “working class people” (aka Poor White Folk). He knew we could.

It didn’t matter if you lived in Indianapolis, IN. It didn’t matter if you lived in Tampa, FL. It didn’t matter that one candidate was a POW and grandson of the establishment. It didn’t matter his middle name was Hussein. He knew we could.

It didn’t matter if he was a Democrat. It didn’t matter if Roe v. Wade was going to be overturned or extended. It didn’t matter that we haven’t caught Osama Bin Laden yet. He knew we could.

It didn’t matter if you were 18. It didn’t matter if you were 65. It didn’t matter if you lived in the hood. It didn’t matter if you lived in the suburbs. It didn’t matter he doesn’t look like you. It didn’t matter he does. He knew we could.

It didn’t matter FOX news is considered a news station. It didn’t matter in the debates. It didn’t matter in the rallies or the racist cries. It didn’t matter you heard he was a ‘Muslim’. He knew we could.

It didn’t matter he’s only been in office 4 years. It didn’t matter you didn’t think it was possible. He did.

It didn’t matter what you did to Nat, Martin, Malcolm, Fred or any other black leader. It didn’t matter you came up with COINTELPRO . It didn’t matter the DEA put crack in LA. It didn’t matter you didn’t tell the Tuskegee Airmen there was a cure.

You see, what mattered was that he knew we could. He knew that we could “VOTE 4 HIP HOP CULTURE!”

Congratulations PRESIDENT OBAMA!!! (Sounds so sweet don’t it??)
