Do DJ's still get Acapellas???? Do DJs still mix?? What's going on....

I am re-writing this discussion because I feel it important. I wonder if DJs are still getting acapellas.
I love to mix just like when I had my vinyls, but now that every thing is digital the labels aren't sending the acapellas.

Back when we were caring crates, it was atleast 4 things that you were sure to see on a 12"
A Side
1. Clean
2. Dirty
B Side
1. Insturmental
2. ACAPELLA

But now-a-days the labels aren't sending them and sites like Diggi send a little but not many....
Is there NOT a demand for acapellas.... Do I have to be DJ Rob Dinero, or Clinton Sparks??? (No disrespect I got love for them too,and most of us are spinnin' there mixes) Is there a site that I haven't found yet???

If you are a label rep reading this...Bless us DJs !!!! I am sure that if you put it out there, you will be able to see REAL DJs getting back into the mix of things.

another site to look up is hiphophits.net; that's a good spot to get some pella's also!

But I have to agree that there are some DJ's that spin @ clubs, and don't even have the basics to mix, they can even crossfade a song, let alone mix

I think mixing is becoming a lost art, and many DJ's on the come up are using what I like to call "Cluemanitisms" i.e. stressing on getting the exclusives and just playing them, instead of using skills WITH the exclusives!

I can't tell you the amount of times I go to the club and that shit happens; All I'm saying is just mix!!!!!!
CHURCH!!!!!!!

ABOUT TIME SOMEBODY SPOKE ON THIS BESIDES ME ! WHUT UP THE X IN DIS MUTHA FUCKA ! If u are a mixxologist, battle dj or whut eva it seems like we are a dying breed. Its crazy I BEEN SPINNING 26 YRS, PRACTICED MY ASS OFF TO GET TO THE LEVEL I AM AT WITH LIVE MIXXING, SCRATCHING & TRICKS TO GET TO A GENERATION WHO DON'T APPRECIATE IT AT ALL. NO ONE APPRECIATES CREATIVITY & EVEN ASK ME TO PLAY THE WHOLE SONG & I AM LIKE WHUT THE FUCK !!!!!!!! The game is so fucked up & filled with all these microwave entertainers, dj's, rappers & performers its gotten boring & it's all about popularity, money & bullshit instead of the true art & skill. Its so bad I am rapping more now preparing for my dj career to be over BECAUSE I REFUSE TO SWITCH TO A COMPUTER THAT DOES EVERY THING FOR U ! FUCK THAT ! IF I AM PLAYING BASKET BALL I WANT TO FEEL THE BALL & DRIBBLE IT MY SELF NOT PRESS A BUTTON & IT DO IT ALL ! WHERE IS THE SKILL IN THAT ! NOT TRYING TO DISS THE NEW SERATO USERS but I will never stop mixxing or using vinyl unless they completely stop making records & I have no way of making money any other way. THIS COMPUTER SHIT HAS FUCKED UP THE GAME ! It has made it to easy for any body to get involved with it & has flooded the game with weakness. Speedded it up to fast to even keep up with. By the time u can even get a record let lone a accapella it's old & played out. MUCH LUV TO THE REAL DJ'S STILL IN THE GAME BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE REAL PARTIES ALMOST OVER !
Yea I'm with you on this. I'm an aspiring DJ and even though I'm young I do think that the DJs should stick to the original sound and use vinyls. I think vinyls are still cool to use and mix with. I am very much in love with the old-school sound and it's kinda sad how everything is being replaced with new technology, I'm mean don't get me wrong, it's very convient and up-to-date to have new technology involved, but let's just face it, music today just ain't what it used to be....
MY MAIN THANG AS A DJ IS ACAPELLA, GO TO MY PAGE AND YOU WILL SEE.. WE AS DJs MUST MAKE SOME NOISE ABOUT THIS TO THE RECORD CO. AND ARTIST, IT CAN BE DONE REMEMBER DJ STARTED HIP HOP, AND MIXING IS A BIG PART OF IT.
i started with vinyl. i didnt accept digital til they mastered vinyl manipulation with the scratch wheel. true things arent the same no more battles, spin off, just the excitement of walkin in and seeing nothin but big bulky equipment being mastered by the best. i adapted to digital just to keep up with times and as far as the conviniency of gettin any song at any time with any unexpected request can either make you the hottest or the suckiest dj in this new era of dj'n. i still hold my opinion and shouldnt say this but new dj's that dont know the fundamentals of a technic 1200 are missin out on alot of tricks and knowledge to simulate your cdj like u was rockin vinyil... i do not miss carrying heavy crates of records u may not use but bring anyways lol
