African Man Assaults Wife For Not Giving Him Enough Chicken

A man in Zimbabwe admitted to assaulting his wife, because she decided to keep the best parts of their chicken dinner all to herself.

Jabulani Nube, 40, admitted that after his 24-year-old wife, Nomusa Sibanda, cooked him a chicken dinner giving  him only the bird's gizzard, wings and one drumstick, he lost it. She saved the breast and one drumstick for herself, at which point Nube went crazy on her. According to local tradition, when serving a man, a woman should first offer him the best pieces of the meal and leave the scraps for  herself. Not abiding by the rules, left Sibanda battered by Nube, before she fled to be with her grandmother.

A day later, Nube consulted with the tribal counsel about his wife's mistake. She was found guilty and fined for the misstep, while her grandmother was also reprimanded for not teaching her “how to treat her husband and dish out meals.”

Still high off the victory, Nube verbally admonished his other half calling her “uncultured and disrespectful,” threatening to file for divorce.

While there's no report updating the public on the status of the couple's relationship, the next time they sat down for dinner was probably pretty awkward.
