Lil Wayne Loses Lawsuit Over The Carter Documentary, Ordered To Pay Nearly $3 Mil

Lil Wayne has lost his legal battle against Quincy Jones IIIover his depiction in the documentary, The Cater, reports TMZ.

In a pretty terrible end to the long-standing legal battle, Weezy was ordered to pay Jones almost $3 million, in accordance with the counter suit that he filed against the rap mogul.

Plagued by health issues after allegedly suffering some seizure-like symptoms, Wayne missed his court date last week, resulting in a verbal scolding from the judge in the case. In his absence, the 30-year-old's  lawyer was left to show the jury the deposition tape showcasing his unwillingness to cooperate and answer questions. During the recording the New Orleans native was noticeably irritated by questioning, resorting to pretending to have no understanding of the legal proceedings.

Aside from losing the case, jurors ruled that Wayne should pay $2,195,000.00 siding with Jones, who filed the suit on grounds that Wayne unlawfully hindered the release of the documentary, leaving him unable to profit off the film.

With a net worth well over $20 million, the fee is a drop in the bucket for Wayne who netted $25 million last year, earning him the No. 8 spot on Forbes' Highest Paid Celebrities Under 30 list which came out in early July, before his birthday.
