DIRTY

CLEAN

East St. Louis: gritty, raw, real, and home to Eastside Eazy. Eastside Eazy is defined by the life and experiences indigenous to growing up in such a habitat. High crime and low household income is one way people might define the city. As a product of that environment, it is second nature for Eazy to detail that in rhyme. As he prepares for his debut release under Untouchable Records, Much Betta, Eazy is coming into his own as Eastside’s best kept secret.

Born June 8, 1988, the youngest of 3 boys, Marlon Burris.

At as young as six years old he envisioned becoming a rapper, although, he didn’t begin writing until around ten. With a guitarist father, music was apart of his life early. He privately began recording music at fourteen, until he was pushed to the forefront by a friend to compete in a freestyle battle his senior year of high school. As winner of the competition he gained notoriety in local publications but more importantly gained confidence.

The ego boost helped him start moving away from the dark cloud he’d been in following his father’s arrest when he was fifteen. Bad decisions turned for the better as he released his first mixtape, Concrete Jungle: Bad Seed. Shortly after, Eazy began dedicating his time to music entirely. He joined a the imprint, 365 Music Group on the advisement of his good friend King Chuck. While on the label, Eazy began developing as an artist while he was sidelined with legal troubles.

In 2012, Eastside Eazy got his first taste of success when he released the song and video for his first official single Counting My Money. The single allowed him to have a small tour around the country in support of its rise. Unfortunately, the success was stifled but was a learning experience for Eazy as he started his own company, P.M.E.

Following the fall out, Eazy continued working but things were more low key. He released a joint mixtape with his P.M.E. crew (T-Real, Kiing Chuck, Stones, and Bank Hank), Jungle Life, in 2013. The following year, Kiing Chuck was murdered and Eazy’s music aspirations paused. He fell back from his passion and instead focused on hustlin’ and work.

Last year, he returned to recording and released a short project, The Care Package. Shortly after he committed to Untouchable. He has recently released a new video for I’ll Do It and a hustler’s anthem, Stack Of Money. His underdog spirit drives him and is undeniable in his music. He is done hiding and ready to show the world.
