2009 Texas Urban Music Summit II “Celebrating The Sound” set to take place June 5-7, 2009 in Dallas, TX
The Texas Urban Music Summit, an expansion of the Core DJ Retreat presented by the Core DJs, Definition DJs, AllHipHop.com, & Richmind Records, is an event designed to educate and create opportunities to empower artist in the Texas market & surrounding areas. Now in its second year, the event has created opportunities to connect up-and-coming artists directly with local, regional and national DJ’s while empowering the artists to become more knowledgeable about the entertainment industry as a whole.
(Texas U.M.S) is becoming one of the premiere music events of the South bringing together unlimited networking opportunities with artists, DJs, Industry Executives, producers and various media outlets. Since its inception in 2008, Texas U.M.S has provided the appropriate mediums and dialogue to ensure its attendees leave the event more knowledgeable in their role in relation to the entertainment industry. Texas U.M.S has featured high profile panels moderated by hip-hop advocate, Wendy Day and CORE DJ’S Founder and CEO- Tony Neal. These panels have provided event attendees with invaluable knowledge and direction.
The Texas U.M.S II will be held at the Sheraton Hotel-Dallas, June 5 - 7, 2009. Additional event sponsors include A. Texas U.M.S will feature various vendors promoting music-oriented products that will be beneficial to Texas U.M.S attendees. The event will consist of various industry panels, label listening suites, artist showcases, and networking mixers, including after parties. Popular Dallas-based DJ Coalition, Definition DJs and International DJ Coalition, Core DJs will present a Dallas/Forth Worth showcase. This showcase will feature the hottest artist in the city and create visibility for each artist to key and influential DJ’s Labels, & renowned Hip-Hop website AllHipHop.com’s Breeding Ground showcase.
This year’s featured event includes a high profile party for the launch of I.C.0.N. “The Life Style Issue", hosted by Tony Neal, Lavish & Core Models, A. Steele Unlimited and Midwest Leak Magazine.
